New Rage Cycles fender eliminator

So"¦.

If you have been debating pulling the trigger on this fender eliminator, the owner Justin, just threw us a deal"¦

He created a coupon code of '1199FORUM' that can be used when checking out on their website, and it gives us 15% off the 1199 fender eliminator, 1199 front block off signals, or the license plate bracket itself. He also included this coupon for the 899 fender eliminator and 899 front block off signals being that they are identical and fit both bikes.

Hope this helps someone trying to make up their mind to clean up the tail of their baby. I surveyed the other manufacturers, begged the guy who made the older flashing unit to make me one, and eventually bought the CW one, which could not even remotely be seen in daytime. Then someone on here suggested this, and I really like it. Especially the newer one made of metal.

He also said that he would be amicable to a group buy. I have no idea how to set that up, but he is open to it.

I made mine for $15. cant tell the difference I promise. how the hell do you add an image on this forum? I'm new...lol. can you not just add it from your saved as on your computer?

Installed my NRC kit this weekend. A few pointers: definitely recommend using a butt splice to connect wires (not included). Also, when the instructions say "do not over tighten" the signal plate, it really means it. I didn't feel I over tightened it but the whole torx screw went through the hole on the signal plate. I ended up getting a washer and adding it so that it doesn't pop through again on the road. The lights are highly visible day and night. I don't really notice the speed of the blinkers going any faster. Overall, great kit. Got lots of compliments on it - definitely recommend it over the competition werkes.

Just installed mine yesterday. Looks even better in person, easy to install and Justin is awesome to deal with. Only thing I did when I installed it was I added a nylon nut with a washer to the back of the plexy glass bracket. I didn't over tighten or strip the threads in the bracket but I just felt a little safer that way. I'd highly recommend this fender eliminator to anyone.

Just pulled the trigger. The 15% off sealed the deal for me. That and I saw the competition workes in person finally and was disappointed. I was really hoping customLED would make one, but I emailed and they said it was cost prohibitive, I like it on my R1. Can't wait to get this installed!

You won't be disappointed ;)

I installed mine the same day I brought the bike home from the dealer. I would say it is the best cosmetic mod you can make. It looks and functions great! Blinkers are bright as hell!!

A damn shame this kit can't be used here in Australia. The plate needs to be closer to the tail. The law states a 45 degree viewing arc above the plate is necessary or you will be fined. If there was a mod for the plate to be further toward the tail I would have this in a heartbeat!!!!!!

Well, I got mine in on Friday and installed it on Saturday. Unfortunately it looked like mine missed some quality control as the bends in the plate weren't bent enough because it created a huge gap between the signals and the tail. See the photos. The problem essentially became that the 3M tape would never get a good seal. So I 'finessed' it into a better position and its all set. I really do like it and I like how large the signals are. On a side note, after I took those photos, I sent Justin an email explaining the issue and supplying photos. He got back to me same day (Saturday night). He offered to take mine back and ship me a new one. I explained that I was able to make it work and he replied back and was again apologetic and glad I was happy with it. That went a long way to build trust in his company and I'm glad he was willing to be so accommodating. Pretty good stuff and I'm a happy camper.

Anyone know if they have any plans to add an led on the plate holder to illuminate the plate?

I just saw this in person on sunshinestate's 899 over the weekend. I like it so much I'm getting it and selling my DP plate holder with Euro LED turn signals. And another bling part is the literally the last thing I was looking to purchase.

How come this light looks different than LanceBro's post that has a gap in the middle and no plastic that wraps around?
I like this one better..

-- this one has the led's embedded in the edges - looks very clean, you see the led's only when lit, and very bright, very well defined, and no plastic white stripe holding the led's on the edge - the only thing you have to deal with is moving the license plate forward...if you don't mind that, and you want to give the tail a haircut, this unit looks pretty good

Great review, bugs worked out and a 15% coupon code. I'M SOLD and my order has been placed. I'll posts an HD vid of the installation process once it arrives at my house.
