So, this past weekend, I replaced my first set of tires and front pads.
I went with the 120/70-17 front Q3 paired with the 190/55-17 Q3 rear.
As for pads, I pulled the stock ones and put in new EBC HH Sintered pads. The FA447HH ones.
Wow, what a difference. As others have stated, the front Dunlop isn't as eager to turn as the Pirelli was, but I don't care. The cold traction is fantastic and I got caught in a thunderstorm on the way home from work today and the wet traction was amazing.
While my stock pads still had over half their life left, I was never really impressed with their initial bite. These EBCs are an order of magnitude better. Even in the wet, as I found out today.
Very pleased with these changes and would recommend them to anyone who primarily rides on the street. I have no plans to take her to a track in the next few months, so I went with a solid street combo.
And if anyone is interested, I put my first set of tires on at 4200 miles. There was still tread on the rear, but I had worn out the sides of the front.
