Yeah old man, let’s race. I can tell that you have money. Let’s race angeles crest 9 miles. I bet my pink slip + $10k cash. Deal ? Saturday next week, 11 pm

Who you calling old? That being said I got leathers older than you. When you mature you'll realize that all the seat time makes for some seriously fast old guys. The crest is so blase. Let's pick a road that no one actually knows. And no electronics (TC, WC, ABS). Everything off. Lola pass is pretty good about 140 miles or hwy 36 (144 miles). Since I know everything (sorta) I'll handicap myself with my antique 1198. Could you paint the bike and buy some nice wheels first?

So dude shows up with a tarted up bike with a floppy nose fairing that has a salvage title. A likely outcome is he chucks it into the weeds, again. Do you them become responsible for towing it? I feel bad for the bike.

Ok how about 49. Nevada City to 89. Breakfast at Morning Thunder then Bucks lake? I'm going riding in the Trinity next week so it's on my way. I haven't decided what I'm riding probably one of my belt drives. My SFV4 is too long and porcine for the serious twisty bits.

Generally, slicks work at a higher temperature, and you will struggle to generate it on the road. Which means, the tyres will have less grip than a road tyre, which means you'll crash.
Road tyres tend to have higher silica (or, different chemical makeup atleast, to a slick). This means, they warm up almost instantly, and work at much lower temps.

more people crash less stupid questions on forums, win-win

We do Bucks lake a few times a year. I live off 49. I use the panigale for track only now, and am faster in the twistys on my multi
