I know there are a lot of threads on here about exhaust. i for one am very interested in them because i havent gotten a new system yet. i saw the thread today about a pcv and all that jazz and its close to 1000 bucks.
my question is does anyone have results using the newest up map. is the full system fixed or are slips still the way to go?
as my last thread similar to this the consensus was slips are the way to go but how about now with the new upmap.

Please i am only asking about termi as i would love the akra Ti system but im not spending 4k on it then have to spend another 1000 on a pcv. just not worth it IMO.

Mark,

Can give you some info, have one bike with the new map and stock system, is a stack load better than previous fuelling, also have the No1 bike with full termi system, new ducati map and then the up-map for the system.

I've ridden the No 2 stock bike 1199s since the remap and am going to refit the can's on the standard headers and test on the dyno again, am running both bikes on Friday at the track for a back to back test, I did put a thread up re fitting the system and gave dyno figures on the old map.

Either way the map is better, would be worth looking at fuelling with the can's without the up map... Might have time for that tomorrow...

Consensus at the moment is can's or as termi sell it (half system) on stock headers unless you can get hold of some ducati corse long headers for the 70mm full system, they are like hens teeth... Hard to find...

Hope my drivel makes sense...

Pete

yes makes sense thank you. that was my question cause as everyone knows the full system drops your mid range power. so i dont want to buy a full system and spend all that money to get less power (not that i use all the power it has now anyway). if i get basically the same output with slips i will save the 1500.

I just had the new upmap loaded yesterday on my Tri (Termi slip ons). Feels better especially in the 4000 rpm range. No fueling related stumbling or surging, and no stalling issues. Interestingly, under identical conditions, it ran 8 degrees warmer (water temp) after the upload than before it (144 vs. 136 F). More heat = more BTUs = more hp? Maybe that explains it. I've seen a dyno chart where it indicated 19 more ft lbs torque at about 4500 rpm, and nearly 10 hp by 7000 rpm - nearly the same top end numbers. I am very satisfied with the new upmap.

new map

Rode mine after new map install and was very impressed with the power and esp. the torque. Set of pants says 15% plus increase. Crazy fast. Very happy with Ducati for doing this.:):D:eek:
