It's an 1158cc V4. I'd suspect them to come out with a new block for weight savings and to compete with the Ape 660

Just saw the specs, it’s 1200cc with, valve springs, yes that’s true. It’s done because it will rev lower, is aimed at usable torque Not peak power and the service intervals for the valves are 60,000kms. A whole new engine designed for the Multistrada.

They had to do that to get the service interval inline with the mission for the bike; that is to be a touring bike.
