While I am waiting for mine, how did you manage to post those nice picts.

Well I see you have a 996R. I'll give you the secret to posting pics for a shot a your 996! :D

I use flickr for my photos. It allows you to copy the image address and just drop into the post. Super easy.

My signature has reached its limit so I can't post the entire list of bikes, but I do have two pristine 998R's that are completely stock and low mileage. Behind the Desmo they are my favorite bikes. Let me know if you'd ever be interested in considering a trade!!

Let me know if you ever want to sell one of the 998R's or trade for a low mileage Anniversario :D

Awesome update.. In regards to it being behaved an not wheeling...

You still have 6k rpm to go, something tells me when you cross over past 12 it will go verticle. Just a hunch. Plus you're still running it in, or are these already run in from factory?

I cant believe the rev range you get to play with, with these v4r's. Unbelievable. Awesome to hear it makes for nice street riding considering what it is...

I think i speak for all when we say we enjoy the insight you give us to any rare model you ride. Peace brother, stay safe out there and enjoy it!

Thanks man. I'm a far cry from a motojournalist but always happy to share my experiences! :D

I have a feeling you're right about how the bike will behave higher in the rev range. Don't get me wrong. The front can still be provoked at lower revs. But it's one of the things that was immediately noticeable to me relative to the speciale. I'm also not wringing its neck until after the first service. Rather gradually pushing the revs and load. My sense is it will be a different experience after that. It's crazy how this thing revs and how far to the right redline is!

I don't go on to flickr, twitter etc. Have to disappoint you the 996R is not for sale and/or trade but here is a picture. She is not a ordinary 996R there is a lot of up grades in it, also I have all the OEM parts so she can/could be restored to original.

OK Kevin after that write up, now I am really starting to not like you and so is my wife lol. I cant take the hit on the Speciale but hey I see you like two of some bikes. So if you want to trade the V4R for another Speciale you might be able to talk me into it (you wouldn't even need any cash added).

All kidding aside thank you for the information. I am sure the bike will get better & better as it breaks in. Hope to catch you at the tack one of these days.

Wow Kevin.... you don't mess around!
Did you Rob the wheels off the FE? Or another new set?

You definitely have the complete stable now. Other then you need a FE with flat gloss paint and carbon wheels [emoji2957]

That looks awesome man! Love it!!!

HAHA!!! Seems like I'm making a lot of enemies these days my man. If it's any consolation I'm losing money on all of these newer bikes which hurts but I'm having fun. I'm not planning on selling my speciale (and you shouldn't either!!). It is such an amazing bike and gorgeous too. Dare I say better looking than the R?? I'll have to snap a pic of both side by side but they are both stunning in my view.

Apologize to your wife for me. :D

Tobtek, I ended up taking them off the FE and putting them on the R. The wheels are stupid expensive so I couldn't justify buying another set. The FE has the gold anniversario wheels back on which is a look I still like. Hope you're getting some good riding time. Can't wait until the weather warms up!

Here's the FE with the gold wheels before the race exhaust went on, but you get the idea.

It doesnt matter ,i feel like these are more real reviews. Journalists usually have ideal conditions set up by the manufacturer. I prefer reading someone who just pulls their bike from their garage, an goes for a ride :)

Always good to read yours and look forward to more.
