Thanks, was super bummed that I wasn’t able to get it to the track after I did a bunch of the upgrades (northern Illinois so everyone near me is done). Oh well, next year I guess.
Hi, I'm considering getting some Rotobox myself.... How much difference does it make then? Is it so much more than the OEM wheels then? I have a 2023 V4R and I'm considering Carbo or forged alloy but can't decide. I read the carbon Rotobox can crack.... please let me know ... Thanks

This was a HUGE debate when this forum first started. CF will crack, is a tiny bit lighter, forged mags can bend. I prefer mags (what I have) - but if I were you I would go with which one you prefer the look of, as obviously they both have pro/cons.

If I were to go carbon, then- BST's are proven and the OEM choice. Rotobox's two models and Thyssenkrupp's have both had reports of surface delamination, be cautious if buying second hand. Carbon is an excellent material for wheels, its light in the right places, improves braking, acceleration and turning but doesn't handle excessive heat, doesn't deform in a crash (they can absorb a lot of energy but will crack once the limit is reached unlike metal which will deform). Magnesium alloy wheels are proven but its a highly reactive metal, they dont like scratches and dont crash well either, both materials require care so its 6 of one and half a dozen of the other. For general street use the OEM forged ali's are 90% of high performance wheels, it goes like this; cast base wheels to forged or especially carbon = massive improvement and total wow factor, forged oem to mags = noticeable but why did I spend all that money? forged oem to carbon = quite noticeable, I think its worth it.... If you're doing it for aesthetics then none of the above matters.

Good luck in getting Rotobox wheels I could not get a delivery date from anyone in the past for my 1299 . Went with marchesini 10 spoke aluminium Rims in the end.
