Anybody wish to let me know what they think about the NEXX Carbon Helmet (msrp $599)? I have a Shoei GT-Air Ordered but I have been hearing that I should have ordered the NEXX Carbon instead. Whats your insight? THank you. - Eddie

I have a NEXX carbon which I wear around the streets. Comfortable, feather light, great vision, stable in the wind 3/4 tuck to upright, good defogging. Great all around helmet. Not sure about using it on the track I use the Arai Cosair 5 - can't beat the shell construction.

Thank you,

I have been getting mixed reviews of that helmet, its seems too light and to cheap. I would really like to get some more information about the company and the safety features it has. I dont want to buy a helmet that has not been vigorously tested.

I hear this is a great all around helmet, GNANCE owns one and I think Trauma tested it out..

I was planning on getting a Nexx, the padding system seemed a little too excessive for me. The shell didnt fit my head that well so I went with an Arai Vector2.

Had mine for nearly a year now including track days, very happy with it, comfortable and light. It comes with lots of extra pad parts to custom fit different parts of the helmet. It's quite well made tho the vent open/closers appear to be a bit fragile.

Coming off a couple Sharks, quality is not quite as good as the shark.

Revzilla website has a video review of it.

I ordered one and should have it tomorrow. I'll let you know what I think - currently using Shoei X11. I have a neck injury and I am hoping the weight and visibility will help (when the truth is the real solution would be a mulitstrada :) ).

I, too am considering either a Nexx or a GT-Air. The benefits I like with the GT-Air is that it already has the pin lock visor included and I wouldn't need to change visors because it has the drop down visor. With the internal visor down, it looks like it already has a smoke visor. I like Nexx because of its light weight and wide field of vision, but I have also read reviews about its poor construction and how it starts to fall apart. I am curious to hear from any of you who have these helmets. I would like to try them on, but its not widely available here in SoCal, none that I know about anyway.

I bought the XR1R Carbon. Very light, but had to change the XL liner to XXL. Old lid was XL Shoei XR1100.

The Nexx is very light and I find it comfortable. Not tried it out on the road yet.

Nexx

I have the NEXX carbon, it is very light 1250g (SM) just as advertised but you have to be extremely carefull to handle them. I once dropped it from the bike and the soft outer coating cracked! I know you shouldn't drop them, but I had dropped my Arai RX7 multiple time and it never make a dent.

eddie bell star carbon 339 at sportbiketrackgear. either the serwinski or the black beauty. star is the best ventilated helmet out there. i dont see going with any other brand for carbon at those prices

For my K, I'm wanting to get a hold of the BMW Sportintegral, as far as CF helmets go, I think it is the best looking and weighs like 1 kg. My fall back is my daughter's above.

If I dropped a lid even once, I'd be looking to replace it or at least get it sent away to be tested.

Looked at both the NEXX and GT-Air. Ordered the GT-Air yesterday.
