I think he did say that .

I'm not justifying the cost but I think a lot of incurred cost of the product is from the R&D. With anything like high end cars, products or what not sometimes don’t make profit. For example, I think the Lexus LFX lost money per car they sold even at a ridiculous price because it doesn’t offset the all the R&D vs # of sold. It's something we dont see as a customer.

So if someone produce something with zero R&D thus no acutal performance gain or realibility = higher profit as long as they sell it them.

I had a very careful listen too. You are correct, but he actually said

"sometimes I laugh so hard on how much bradp51, that guy in Australia, paid for my exhaust I .... myself "

I think he said that LOL
