Wife upgraded me yesterday... You can see my old 2012S in the foreground at the shop with the R being assembled in the background. They were swapping some radiator guards and bits...

Taking her out today. Break her in properly! Like I stole it!

Excited to see how this one performs!

Awesome and congrats! Wish my wife was that thoughtful. I got a card, a box of Sugar Babies and half-price appetizers at Carraba's happy hour. Being poor sucks!

Looking forward to your comparison to see if my long-range plan of a used R is worth continuing.

They let you in the service bay? I once got yelled at just for opening the door to tell a tech something. I guess you get special privileges when you purchase an R :mad:

There are exceptions. The former BCM in Laconia NH and Seacoast Sport Cycle in Derry NH do not (did not) have a problem with this. Tremendous opportunity to learn from Kyle, one of the best in the business. This all started quite awhile back with a very base 916. A great machine but certainly no 'R'. Long drive for me but worth it. While there must be other shops granting similar privileges, insurance can sometimes get in the way.
