Amazing bike....
Congrats.
The SL is a nice bike, but a Desmo is far more exclusive!
thanks guys !
idea is to ride her occasionally and def not as hard as the R ...
more of a show bike this one ...
i'll post more pics once i pick her up ...
i know the front is the full ¨WP factory forks from Johnny Rea , carrying accosato billet monoblocs ... there is almost nothing stock on the bike as it was assembled from zero. It has a special Verlecchi frame on which i will learn more soon...
the more i look at it , the more i like it...
from what i hear, the engines have proven to be pritty reliable... will dyno her asap.. and then hope she doesn't come out at 170 or something as i know 2 that do 202 ... taking her up 30 bhp won't come cheap...
Far more exclusive? There were at least 1 500 Desmos built and sold according to my knowledge and only (for now) 500 SL's.
At the end of the day, the SL is still a 1199, very optimized 1199 but still a 1199 (at least design wise and concept).
The Desmo may have 1500 units, but it has a V4 engine.
With time, money and patient you can turn a 1199 into a SL but you will never turn a SL into a Desmo.
