I emailed Ilmberger about a C-C part for the Termi system:

Hello,

thank you very much for your E-Mail.

We will probably make a part for a racing exhaust system.

As soon as we have it in program, you will see it on your homepage.

Have a nice time.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Best Regards

Back up, Jasper. I don't need a "how to" forum lesson from you Don't bother buying it. Sounds like you've been burned by your Suzie Home Bake Oven in the past. you won't like this bike as some have said it's "hot" as per their impressions.

After Riding rigid choppers for 20 odd years with 120 Cu inch air cooled engines one tube rail away from the jewels and open primaries trying to eat my left calf, the Pani is the most luxurious ride I've ever had and have no complaints.

Oh and don't read this if you don't want to.

That's the best response you could come up with? Yes, I burned myself on the Suzie Home Bake Oven once. But the cake came out pretty good so it was all worth it. ;)

I guess you think that anyone who is annoyed by the heat is somehow not worthy of riding the bike - gotta be a tough guy like you are to own one. Maybe you should be aiming your comments at Ducati. They seem to agree with the wimps like me - they just invested a fair piece of money fixing what guys like you are denying is real.

No kidding - I wish there was a folder for "going nowhere". This whole thing doesn't even mattter until the part comes in, and then it can start all over again, like the upmap. "It's so much cooler", "I'm still so hot", "looks like s__t", "I love the new look" and so on....

Yawn......spare us, oh mighty warrior of the concerned consumers index

Better stay on your rolling couches that you're used to. This bike might be too manly for you.

There are other Duc sites for trolls to bitch at others. This site is for riders.
At least get the damned bike before you jump on the "it's too hot wagon".

Now go away and play nice or I shall be forced to taunt you again.

Unless you can step up your game I'm not even the least impressed with the come-backs you are coming up with. Besides, I find it highly ironic that this is your thread and it's a bitch thread. BTW, I do plenty of riding - as best as I can figure, 22,000 miles in the past twelve months. I'm 60 years old and have not had any of my bikes over 140 mph in.....oh, the past 24 hours (past 48 hours I've had two of them over 140). Some pretty fast couch riding, huh?:D

I covered this once before, but I have put over 100 miles on a Panigale and the bike did not know that I did not own it and it was still hot.

Feel free to taunt me again. I'm expecting more from a real live Ducati owner. Besides, every time you taunt me "Trauma" thanks you....it helps your "Thanks" count on the forum. Your welcome.

Wow, 100 whole miles? Then don't buy and stop lurking - but know you won't, just mho

Yeah, 100 miles. I wonder how much hotter it must get after a few thousand miles. On the other hand, I know they aren't as hot if you actually pay good money for them ;) Funny how that must work.

I'll stop lurking when I make a decision. I'm not here just for the humor, although I must say ya'll are pretty funny at times. I'll miss that if I decide not to buy one.

Jim - I must say I am quite amazed you have as many bikes as you do, if you put this much effort into a decision. I fell in love, ordered it. Period. No to mention it's a Ducati, it's the best they have. So if you love Ducati as a company, the bike wouldn't matter.

I know you will do as you wish, and that's fine, I only ask that you not jump in and critisize a bike you don't even own. I would never go to a Harley forum and make fun of "Hardley Drivables". I might lurk, ask questions if I was truly wanting a model, but then I have done my own research on the 30 or so bikes/cars I have owned over the years, not ask a handful of forum folks over many weeks their opinions.

PS Welcome to respond, but my last words on the subject in this abused thread :)

Let me be clear and serious. I don't consider what I'm doing as criticizing the bike. I'm simply stating one of the drawbacks that is well known and documented. I rode the bike, I felt the heat and it was the worst heat I've ever felt on a motorcycle. I have owned WAY more cars and motorcycles than most people and I have never owned one that did not have something about it I didn't like.

The reason I get a little fired up in my responses is when owners get overly defensive and I feel other potential owners may not be getting an objective view of the vehicle. While I'm not the smartest person in the world, and I'm realistic about that - I'm really not. But nor am I stupid. I know that folks on forums don't like non-owners coming in and making negative remarks. I fully expect people to get pissed at me. But I still feel like I'm contributing based upon my years of experience (started riding in 1971) and my willingness to give the good bad and the ugly.

I know you have seen my past posts for a couple of months now. My quick update is this. The Concours sold a couple of weeks ago, the Goldwing is still for sale at the Honda/Ducati dealer...you'll recall that the owner of that dealer is guy I became friends with over 30 years ago when I got into racing. I am not going to make a final decision on the Ducati until the GW sells at which point I can use it for a trade. I honestly don't know which way I'll go right now.

But believe this - if the heat or any other issue with the Panigale was a show stopper for me I would not be following this forum any more. I am very active on four other motorcycle forums - all of which I have been an owner, and three or four car forums all of which I have also been an owner. I don't have any need to "lurk" on forums of which I am not an owner or am seriously considering becoming an owner.

SMH while Facepalming. Why is there bickering going on? I thought that only mature adults owned or were interested in Panis :(. Relax and enjoy each other's virtual company, share opinions and advices. We are enthusiasts of one of the best bikes ever, a Pani not a '03 CBR600RR.

Is there a heat issue on the 03 CBR600RR too:confused:
