Ohlins FGR 254

For the mere mortals, is there a document 'grading' all the Ohlins offerings for V4 (forks/cartridges) and what the differences are?

Excellent, although they all seem to fit within the standard deviation. I guess the 'mere mortal' scaling is in effect :D

Also, FKR129 seem to be missing.

Man I’m pretty happy with my custom valved FKR108 carts in my NIX 30 tubes…would need a compelling reason to change them out.

who built your forks?

There’s a guy named John Chen out here that has a direct line to the Ohlins in house engineers, so Ohlin custom spec’d the valving and spring rates on my TTX GP rear shock and my carts. Taking into account weight, pace, and my extended swingarm and linear shock link…they got exact dimensions on both the latter.

Then RoadRacerX here at the forum (local to me) put it all together and dialed in my preload, and initial comp and reb, and got the bike turning right for me.

Closer to FGR250 perhaps?

Not “closer to’….the same as….the FGR 254 is the FGR 250 but with fork tubes and caliper mounts that fit the Ducati without changing triple clamps. The FGR 250 forks are a have a different diameter at the top of the fork tubes, so you cannot use most OEM or aftermarket Panigale V4 triple clamps, and the brake caliper brackets on the 250’s is 108mm versus the OEM 100 mm caliper sizing.
