All of the current bikes measure speed off wheel speed sensor(s). This is why tire calibration is important.

It would be nice if you could do a video or post step by step instructions for the oil and oil filter change.
My Ducati shop tells me the oil change needs at least 3 hours to make sure there is not too much oil in the engine!

Oil change starts at 1:56. I believe its done at a Certified Ducati Dealership. I would recommend watching the full video and his other videos. Entertaining, educational, funny, and sometimes ....ies (if your into that kind of stuff :) ).

Question: how do you reset the Service/ Oil light? I looked in the user manual and all it said was to take it to dealership to reset light.

I had to take it to the dealer to reset the service light, they plug it into the computer and clear it.

You need a proper titanium drain plug with a big ass removable magnet, that has 4x the surface area and holds 9 lbs. won’t let any particle get away

PM for details

does anyone know from experience exactly how much oil it holds? i changed my oil and put in 3 quarts plus a few ounces and its at the max level. let it drain for 3 hours before adding fresh oil too. doesnt seem like alot of oil compared to other bikes

The cartridge filter cap is a known hazard for the unwary to tangle with from what I have been told by my dealer whom I have known for 30+ years is it being cast is very prone to breaking getting it off or over tightening the bolts, and if so your in a whole world of pain.

answer is 300ml for an oil change according to the shop manual

Okay, let's go with the 3 hours being legit to let the oil completely drain. Certainly you are not paying them for the three hours while they go have lunch and run errands while it's draining, right? If it's legit, they are working on another bike while yours is sitting there

Apparently the oil can get stuck in the engine for up to 3 hours leading you to believe that you need to pour more oil.
Too much oil would damage the engine, so I am told.

Running the engine for a little while before you do the change makes the oil run out much easier. That is what I got taught to do by my Dad many years ago when he showed me how to change the oil in my GTR Torana. I do it still with the bikes as well.
