BEST THREAD EVER. Love the stories. It's easy to feel too big or too small, a thread like this puts perspective on it, answering some big questions.
Stats are interesting on older pilots.
+1 on the Rossi comment. He's racing top of the world at 39. All the commentators going on endlessly about his age I always thought was retarded.
Aging has made my riding faster with a fraction of the effort. Riding smarter. I'm only racing Motogp in my dreams though. haha. Go Rossi! Go gentlemen at all ages!

54 years old - several decades riding (few years as CCS club racer in SE region). Love sportbikes - don't see that changing anytime soon. Couple trackday pics from PBIR and COTA this summer.

Im 59 the guy on the left is 61 Rocky Robinson also on this forum and the fastest man in the world on a motorcycle, and holds the current land speed record on 2 wheels.

I was recently on track with Dario Marchetti. Fastest "18yo" sextagenarian I know. He was carrying wheelies down the Misano straight just for fun.

I shared a paddock at Mugello with a bunch of older guys in their mid & late 60's. One was second fastest on track in the morning, one dipped under 1:59" for his first time.
I mean. Wow.
