Holy. Cow.

From beast to beeeaaast. Torque closer to the previous models. Absolutely stunning.

Stock up on rear tires!

I noticed the same thing. Almost did a 12 o'clock powering it up like before lol.

Much more torque from 4k on. Pulls up all the time.
Example: 4th gear around 6k rpm - throttle up- bloody fast.

Talked to jake from detroit earlier. He is gonna dyno the bike before and after!

It makes it a 3x better bike. And I've loved it before

I suppose when we are typing seat of the pants feel then it is difficult to be objective and covey an accurate description. You know the old saying one man's treasure another man's garbage.

I noticed a distinct torque surge around 3k to 4k as I rolled out the carpark and onto a motorway.

However I would not describe it as "stunning" or a black and white improvement. I was surprised I even noticed a difference.

Definitely an improvement over the stock setup but not as dramatic to ME
as to some others. I emphasise the me as I am not criticising anyone else about their impressions. So don,t take offence Phil, I would just not describe it as dramatically as some have.

One thing I did notice was an improvement was the ability to be able to hold a constant throttle position and speed on the motorway a bit more accurately to within 1 or 2 kph.

I have stock exhaust and currently have the exhaust flapper connected.

My bike is stock as well. After the new flash the bike had lost the tendency to stall on take off. Definitely a lot stronger and smoother off the bottom end of the rev range.:D:D

I just got it yesterday.

Got New up map for the pipes. It feel a lot smoother. Not so jerky @ low speeds and if feels like a bit more power up top but more riding time is needed to test that out. I also got the dash switched out to remedy the turn signal glitch. I will let you know if it does the trick. On a good note, this bike loves the cold. I had a better ride on this bike in 45degree weather than in 75degree weather.

I have a good dyno vid. But the tech forgot to dyno it before the upmap. Oh well  He didn't disconnect the rear tire speed sensor either so dyno number wasn't as good as if it was unplugged. I have the results on my computer but it put 163 rwhp and 82 ft/lbs. Should in the mid 170's without the sensor. I could upload the video if anyone wants me to. but I would rather get a proper number first. Plus I know someone who owns his own dyno and would let me run it on there. Anyways, improvements:

Midrange WAY more powerful.
Exhaust valve doesn't cause as much of a problem between 4-5K rpm.
Fueling much smoother down in lower rpm's
Also, I did notice it doesn't chug when engine braking, it's very smooth.

Going to take it on a test ride tomorrow with a group of guys. Looking forward to it! Can't believe it is mid november in Michigan and we still haven't had but a light touch of snow. Supposed to be mid 50's tomorrow :D

So does the up map remove that 3-4000 rpm surge feeling you get as well as more torque? I'm right under 2000 miles done now and noticing the surge more and more? Txs.

I am having mine done on Monday, along with a small recall and lower panel replacement. Sadly the weather is against me getting out for a "spirited" ride immediately afterwards.

I had the upmap done today (plus recall work on the master cylinder bolt and swing arm bolt - even 2013 bikes have recalls ;) ) and I have to say there really is a difference.

The stuttering I had complained about around 4200rpm has completely gone and the lower ref range is now much smoother. According to the dealer, the upmap is going to be fitted to bikes when they are brought in for something else, rather than a recall.

The downside of getting out today is major condensation inside the display panel. That is now down for a warranty replacement.

I just got mine back this weekend and have to say IMO it's a huge difference!
It just seems sooooo much smoother.
Also the QS works better for me.
Before, I had quite a bit up neutrals between 1 and 2.
I haven't had one since and it seems much smoother.
I'm digging it :)
