Had the upmap installed yesterday and had 2 nice long rides since. The bike is much improved. Its much smoother particularly at lower rpms, most of the fluffiness is gone and it has more grunt low down and midrange. I also think the sound is different too, though not sure just how. The throttle response is more precise which really makes the 1199 a joy to rode now.. and it already was before. The fuel mapping changes have really made the bike much more civilized and refined feeling during low rpm around town riding. I also noticed during "spirited" riding the TC light comes on much sooner than before, and sport mode feels more powerful than before. Also I believe the upmap affects the quickshifter as it is now much smoother.. also before the upmap the quickshifter would noticeably cut power during on throttle up shifts, now it's much smoother and the torque is so abundant that the TC light briefly flickers during even moderate power upshifts. In race mode the front just wants to reach for the sky when you open the throttle. Overall a great improvement, bravo Ducati for the well thought out upgrade..
