Not sure if this has been discussed prior in this thread.... If you have disconnected the exhaust valve, be sure to hook it back up when you go in for the new MAP.

They were all kindsa pissed that it wasn't hooked up.

yeah.. I had the same experience.. but told them that with it hooked up it was running like a dogs body at low rpms. It wasn't really ridable in peak hour traffic.
They didn't have any reply to that..

LOL -- When I had mine done a couple weeks ago, I asked Rory about disconnecting it (I've yet to do it), and I got a LOOOONNGG lecture about it! He even mentioned the possibility of voiding the warranty by doing that.

Still really enjoying the update and the Panigale overall. Can't get the grin off my face!

I'm having the new map installed tomorrow Saturday Nov. 23....aside from improving midrange, rev limit and quickshifter, will this new map solve my hard starting issues as well?

My hard starting issue is more of my concern though...

Had new map installed...made the Panigale a much better bike! The way it should be! Love it even more!!!

Dramatic improvement with the Midrange:D... Magazines should come out with another liter bike comparo!

Hard starting issue though is still there...damn!

anyone know when the slipon map and full exhaust maps are coming down the pipe? hate to go get the standard map downloaded if I can the new race map in a few days or so?

They're all available now. Next time you have your bike in for service, your dealer should flash the new map on there for 'ya.

Yep, just got the email yesterday from my service guy. Guess I should get the bike there once the weather lets up.

Yea, he gave me one too... I don't see how putting a pair of slip ons with no exhaust valve is OK but having the stock, more restrictive pipes with the exhaust valve disconnected is bad. Am I wrong that the exhaust control vavle is simply for emissions purposes and getting the bike to pass noise standards? If it is so important, why does it not throw a check engine code on the bikes display if it is disconnected?

Someone explain this to me because I guess I am ignorant.

Sorry to derail the new Map thread... I dig the hell outta it too.. freaking so smooth and linear.

Yes, I agree. Anyone with any insight? Since we are dealing with the same dealer, I think we'd both like to have the REAL story.

Got my upmap today as well as 14 front sprocket. The bike doesn't have that flat spot anymore and pulls like a freight train. Love the bike even more :)

just finished a test ride after the upmap- nicer overall, noticed somewhat smoother.
dash is replaced with 0 miles - so assume that i have to follow the new dash's service intervals?

Stick with the 14! Best $100 seat of the pants upgrade...
