Ya KFG is a great resource, my first track day I worked with them on my setup and it completely changed the bike for the better, looking at having them redo my forks now. Hopefully when the weather turns for the better we can all get together and terrorize some mountain roads

Welcome from Woodinville! Ben Howard is just as bad as Highbridge for squids and cops. Look for routes N out of Monroe to Granite Falls for more fun. Highway 20 is also great in the twisties, just look out for cops in Nehalem and on the straights, esp. near Winthrop. Also be sure to slab it down to Spirit Lake Road heading to St. Helens. Big sweepers, nice pavement, and only a few Park Rangers to avoid.

Had your suspension set up yet? Check our KFG Racing @ any trackday in WA, or go down to visit them in Kent.

True about Ben. But after doing tons of track days you learn riding hard like that on street just is not worth it. But it is a good road to get the "twistie urgh" out of you. Only cops I have ever seen ( 30+ times on the road ) Ive seen maybe 2 cops. One being fishing police and other was assisting the fish patrol.

Ahhh, thanks for the tips on where and where not to ride :p Last thing I want is a ticket on this thing (really, it's only a matter of time).

I forgot about KFG. I've come across their site before - I'll certainly go through them to get things squared away.

Easier to avoid tix up here than you think (knocking on wood right now). You just need to learn the predictable places where they hang out. I came closer on my 1098 Tricolore - almost nailed doing 160 in a 45 S of Duvall. Sheriff couldn't get a radar lock until I slowed down to the limit. Hilarious watching him slap his radar gun like a redheaded stepchild thinking it was broken. Followed me at the speed limit/ran my tags and gave up after 2mi.
