Just bought a set of OZ 6 spoke alloy superbike wheels and want to fit them up to my 1199 with ohlins forks. Obviously the stock rotors offset will be wrong as well as the wheel spacers and did I mention they have not 5 or 6 but 3 rotor bolt holes in them :roll eyes:

Anyway I just thought someone may have headed in this hair brain direction before me and may have insight.

Some teams use WSBK Brembo rotors that use three bolts only. Possible his team used those wheels and rotors. You will need those if you want to use those wheels.

These were used by Glenn Irwin and they used Brembo T-Drive 328mm discs 6 hole but used only 3.

Well it does state in the advert.....

N.B. - PBM BLANK THE OTHER 3 HOLES AND USE A 6 BOLT DISC ON THE FRONT WHEEL

So I guess he's saying 3 bolts are good enough to hold your rotors on with?!?!

So......... how much are the discs to suit these wheels?

Brembo T-Drive 328mm discs are about $2000US but these guys have lightly used :) for about $800US, nice rotors but for my purpose they will be the wrong offset anyway.

Are you keen on a set steve? I'm in the UK next week and can pick them up for you.

That’s very kind! No I’m ok, just interested in the thread as I’d maybe like to upgrade my base V4 wheels sometime but these seem a little too much hassle for me. I’d love carbon but worried about them being brittle as our roads can be iffy.

I’m in the UK (Northern Ireland) & I’ve met Glenn a few times, I’m only a few miles from where he lives, nice lad.

One of the best moments of the recent North West 200 road races......

For anyone who's interested in OZ EX BSB wheels.

Been fiddling around with the front wheel and the stock 1199 rotor off set is fine so I've dropped the rotors off at a machine shop to have the carrier's centre hole reduced in size and also holes drilled for the three bolt wheel rather than the five. Spacers will be the next hurdle but the machine shop is happy to mod what's needed.

Front wheel is quite light at 2430 grams with bearings
Rear is about the same as an S being 3648
