Panigale 1299S doesn't start

My local dealer had my bike all Friday to investigate the issue further. They consulted with Ducati and showed them the video I posted in this thread.

The dealer has been advised by Ducati to replace the starter motor. Apparently it has been an issue on some 1199's and you can sometimes get a lazy starter motor.

Parts are on order to arrive next week, so let's see if this fixes the issue.

As there is no cannister on the UK models, will be interesting to see if this does fix the issue like in your case aleviac13 and the pickup sensor.

Just wanted to update this thread in case anyone comes across the same issue in the future.

Took it to the dealer on Tuesday morning to have the starter motor replaced. The problem has been solved since then. Bike starts first time now, even after it has been ridden for a while and left to rest for 5 - 10 minutes.

Ducati said that sometimes you get a lazy starter motor and this causes the issue of it having to wind over and over.
