Ok so I purchased my Panigale ABS early in JUNE. I have just over 850km on the bike and rode it for 1 hour yesterday. I got home and parked it with the steering locked as I stayed at the GF house last night and it was outside. I put on all my gear this morning and strutted to the bike like a pimp like I always do. I put my helmet on and gloves and then sat on the bike. Put the key in the ignition waived to some kids and turned it to the on positon and my heart dropped. NO POWER AT ALL. not a drop of juice. NO led display no clicks no humm nothing. I DONT GET IT. I called the dealer and they said it could be a few differnet things. 1 they said it may be a dead battery. Ok but when I told them the trickle lead was flashing green they said ok prob not the battery. They said it also may be a fuse. A fuse? the bike is brand new! I was late for work already so I did not get a chance to check the fuse but im sure thats not the issue. I callled another dealer and spoke with their "TECH" as I have found my dealer to be completly ........ at times. They said there is a very good chance the battery was never charged to full capacity during PDI. SOOOOOO when I get off work today im going with a volt meter to check the battery to see if thats the problem

Has anyone had this problem or can offer educated advice? im no tech or bike pro by any means. I just like to go fast and look good doing it. HELP A FELLOW 1199er OUT PEEPS

The problem is it's white. Since they didn't finish painting it at the factory, no telling what else they didn't do :)

Seriously, I hope it's the battery because anything else is not a good thing...

Sux man....Keep us posted...I cannot imagine the battery is dead.... has to be bad connection....

I hope the ground just came loose or something stupid. I had an 1198 last year and one of the pistons had a major crack in it at only 7000km. My faith in Ducati is dwindling VERY quickly. I traded the 1198 in because once it breaks its never the same. I had 1 month left of warranty on that bike and go lucky as can be when it broke. The whole reason to get a new bike is to have "PEACE OF MIND" now that this has happened im about to give up on DUCATI. Not impressed :(

Why the .... do you own a motorcycle? My advice is sell it immediately as you don't have the slightest clue.

You sound like a g-unit ...... who happens to be able to afford a Panigale. It's embarrassing. I'm willing to put money on it that the only reason why you bought a Panigale is so that YOU can look cool. Strutted the bike like a pimp?

No offence, but this is the Internet, we all make over $300K a year, and are big and burly enough to beat each other up. Word to the wise, don't poke the FF-beehive, never ends well. :D

Hahahahahahahaha you don't have the slightest clue. I grew up in a 3rd world country.

Where you come from and how much you make doesn't change the fact that you bought a Panigale to look cool, because you obviously don't know a whole lot about motorcycles.

Is this what you consider maintenance?

The fact that you work in the automotive industry and posted this .... is even more embarrassing.

rule #1. if you don't want to read it, ignore it. (put people on ignore list)

back on topic:

something chew up your battery. probably during your last ride. no problem, as long as the alternator delivers power.

good luck. warranty - no worries.

and get some color on this bike ;)

IM SORRY COOL GUY. id say a good number of riders dont know how to fix the bikes they ride. SPECIALLY how high tech they are. They fact I work for an automotive dealer doing FINANCE means what? I work with the banks not the mechanics ........ As for you being 3rd world heritage well then you should know what its like to work for what you get. STOP ACTING LIKE YOUR .... DONT STINK AND OFFER SOME HELP. You keep squaking but offer no advice or solution. YOU DONT EVEN HAVE THE SLIGHTEST CLUE. If your going to judge you better be able to offer some advice yourself.
