Thanks flobranx......Does seem a little quieter here these days, I suppose the release of the 1199 had more people jumping up and down.
The parts have started arriving, now I just have to wait for the bike.

Cool! Yeah, it's a little more quiet than the ol days of the 1199 unveiling but there's still a core group of us die hards here.:D

hang in there brother and keep doing you.....

All good DC, thanks for the support. One good thing was all my years of work was made to be handed over to a med clinic and I get to be involved still as a adviser.

Yes I see Gunny is still the same old Gunny:D

Are you going to Matt the parts down with 1200 water paper and spray them red?

Geez no, to many special parts to do that

Even the carbon is coming as raw carbon just so I can create something different.

Parts seem to be taking forever or maybe i am just impatient:D

Anyway thought I would put up some pics of what is coming from the sites I am getting them from.

1st is from Designcorse and is by Moto Corse, the guys at CD have been excellent and i cant give them enough rap's.
Really liked these clutch and brake fluid reservoirs so had to give them a try:D

2nd is from Bellisimoto, once again back to these guy's and again awesome service.
Lots of Titanium going on the bike this time, so thought I would start with the rear sprocket flange by CNC Racing.

First. That is an absolutely stunning bike there my friend!! Awesome build for sure!!

Secondly, as Wallaroo stated, and as I mentioned in my previous posts- Gloss Carbon is my all time fave that regardless of what ANY poll shows I say (IMHO of course) that the DP stuff looks like horrible plastic with a a ridiculous weave pattern on it!)

Carbonvanni for sure makes some very attractive material no doubt!
If you do a search here for an awesome member called "CaliDuc" you will find some beautiful Carbonvanni bodywork done in a most stunning combination of appearance!
I personally have nothing against CV gear, with the only exception being that it's fitment isn't always 100% spot on. Meaning one often has to use a drill or Dremel to open bigger mounting holes or even create them to begin with! That's my only complaint. :(

Keep us all posted on this creation and your thoughts about the CV stuff as you go thru whole mounting process and all ok? Best wishes brother!

Gunny Out .....

Glad you dropped in, just like old times my friend, shame not all the crew are still here from when the Pani first got released :D

Sorry to get you a bit confused there Gunny, but it was the old 1199 Tri that had the CV on it and I totally agree with you, the Carbon was stunning but the fitment took a bit of work and yes the dremel worked overtime:D
This bike is going to have the Fullsix carbon on it in twill weave, some matte and some gloss, but the bike will pretty much retain its Anniversario looks.

My aim is to shed another 6kg off it or around 13lb, you know me I love those tight twisties, so at my age the lighter the better:D

Be good to have you around for the build Gunny and look forward to your input,
Stay well my friend and will pm soon:)

When I win the lottery ill be sure to use this thread as a guide for ordering parts. Only top quality stuff here. A+ Build cant wait to see it complete.

That makes 2 of us:D

Can you post pics of these parts installed already, its killing me.............

Im already dead:D.

I believe he will as soon as the bike is delivered.

Quite correct there Briese and as you know still a way off yet:(

Do you still have the 'NCR Gas Cap in Titanium'?

I am not sure, I have not had a chance to look at all my belongings that was packed away for me.

As many others have stated here, it is truly fantastic seeing you posting here again!
I've read some of your reasons for the absence and applaud you for taking on this role. I've also stayed off here for quite some time as I've seen how much things have changed overall as well. Not sure my involvement is as valued as it once was when we first started this forum - when the 1199 was first released to the public as one of a kind! Good ole days brother!!

There is much excitement in the air and high anticipation to see what you're going to do with this build, I'll be tuned in for sure! Today I even went back thru VERY old threads from 2012 - when this was originally started as well. I found many that contained various 1199 build projects from "The Original Forum Crew" and couldn't help but smile. We should create a thread containing that "Old Crew" with pics and stories of those beautiful bikes for sure! I'd also love to see what "CaliDuc" has in his stable these days as well. :)
Though I'm not sure on how that would be done unfortunately. ***Speaking of that- I also sent you a PM today containing a long thread I wrote back in 2012 which blasted many members for using me to set up my famous "Gunny Fitz" discounts from all the connections I have, and then backing out on them, or playing those cost + deals against other vendors to try getting an even lower price off them. Mostly involving BST Wheels I found. :(

Therefore, let's stay in touch and as always I'm here to help you out anyway possible buddy! Semper Fidelis,

Gunny

It is good to be back doing what I love, working on and riding Ducati's.

There is some awesome parts out there now and with everyone elses posts that have been put up with what they have done to their bikes there is a wealth of information here and i just hope I can add a bit more.

The old crew hey....might have to drag a few of those Aussies out of hibernation as I see not many here anymore.

Ok my friend looking forward to your input....Carbon should be getting made very soon:D
