I wanted to get some quick feedback how strong the interest would be to have a pit limiter on the V2 (955) and V4 (1100).

In order to have a pit limiter it would require some hardware that includes a remote bushbutton switch to mount on the handle bar with an electronic module that will be soll for approximately 250 Euro/$ and an ECU reflash (exclusive through me or one of my business partners) with some special ECU calibration changes.

Is there anyway on the eV4 to repurpose the heated grip switch?

There may be a way but the pit limiter switch should be on the left side as the right hand is already busy throttling the bike and apply the front brakes when approaching the entrance to the pit lane.

Not many US tracks employ and even less enforce pit speed limits. Also Rapidbike already have a switch out for $40 (switch only).

If your outlay for getting this to market is minimal might be worth pursuing but there’s probably only a handful of people on here that actually need this feature (V4R already has this).

I believe the R is the only V4 that has this setup already, good idea.

Yes, the R has an adjustable pit limiter from the factory. Unfortunately it cannot transfer easily to the the other models because it requires software changes in the dashboard as well as engine controller.

I ask because Jetprime sells right hand 3-button switches and right hand 4-button. If you order the right hand 4-button for a V4 the 4th button is labeled for heated grips, but if you select the switches for a V4R its labeled "Pit." I would be very interested in repurposing this otherwise unused switch on my V4S as I won't be installed heated grips.

Likewise… my throttle side switch gear has a rain light button.

Ideally it would be nice to have the pit speed limiter button on the left but if space doesn’t permit then a left hand reach to the right wouldn’t be so bad.

But for people with aftermarket switches it’s more than likely that there will be plenty of space on the left.

As long as it wouldn’t require a person to take their grip off of the throttle I don’t see an issue with it being on the right. The way Jetprime does it with the 4-button places all within easy reach.
