Which Magical Racing Windscreen is this , thee are 6 choices listed,.. all with "carbon"...
Moto Works | Magical Racing Parts

Mine is the smoked twill carbon. There's smoke and clear which is self explanatory. Super Coat is just a rainbow coating...I'm not a fan although it may show well with the exposed titanium header pipe on the side if one has the full Termi or Akra.

Then it comes down to 2 types of carbon...twill or regular (plain). Twill weave you can see the "direction" of the weaving...think corn rolls. Most of the DP stuff are twill so I got twill to match. Plain weave is popular in Japan and looks more like a "checker board" if you will.

Hope this helps.

Nitrouz...after seeing pics of the Magical Racing windscreen, I'm leaning heavily that way...

Last thing I'd like to confirm: how is the height? Is it significantly higher than the stock windscreen?

I'm hoping it offers better wind protection than the stock. Care to comment on that?

Thanks again...

I can only comment on it relative to the R's DP windscreen....and they are approximately the same height overall.

The quality is really amazing on this piece IMO, as is with all their products.

Nitrouz, on that last comment, I checked the pics of their twill and plain, and then up against my DP CF parts. All of my DP parts are plain weave not twill. Was that the way you meant it ?

Oops yes my apologies DP parts are plain weave. I could have sworn mine are twill. But looking at pics online (I'm at work and not close to my bike) it's plain.

Oh well, guess they still go well together if I didn't notice! :p

Ok, cool. I am about to order one, and wanted to make sure it was correct to match the other parts.

Thx

I'm with NOLA on this one...the Magical Racing windscreen is definitely on the expensive side, but the carbon surrounds just might do it for me...

Decisions, decisions...

OK...so it looks like the DP windscreen is out. I'm hearing far too much negativity about it... I had heard rumors about how fragile it is...

Still in the running are the Zero Gravity Corsa and MRA windscreen.

I also know that Magical Racing makes a nice windscreen for the Panigale, but from what I recall, it is quite expensive - something in the neighborhood of $250-$275. IMHO that's too much...

Anybody else have any input?

I have a F.Fabbri high race screen (light smoke) and it looks like the ..... :D I got mine from Marco Casciani the proprietor of RACE! South Africa. He is originally from Ducati Corse.

I love the DP windscreen but because my independent mechanical put it on and not Ducati this happened and they won't warranty it out.... ............ Form great function zero gravity maybe betteriI just prefer plexiglass

Yea, that EXACT thing happened to my stock screen... same bolt and everything. They didn't warranty mine either so I just purchased the DP tall screen.

My tall DP screen is already cracked from being pelted by rocks during a high speed blast through the hill country south of Austin. That DP screen is very thin and for my next screen, I'm gonna go another route.

for what it is worth i have the zero gravity double bubble and i am 5 11. so i just changed to the zg corse. cant go wrong with zero gravity. no issues at all. 6ft or over i suggest zg corse it is taller than the ducati race screen

Finally got around to fitting the MRA screen today after my DP one cracked in several places due stone damage.

Pros
-Thicker than DP screen. Generally 2.4mm thickness in all areas. The DP screen is about 2mm around the mounting points but 1.3-1.4mm in the middle which is where mine cracked.
- Half the price of the DP screen.
- You can fold the mirrors back towards you without scratching the screen.

Cons
- Not quite as tall, I preferred the shape of the DP screen. Still noticeably taller than the stock one, need the weather to improve before I can test it!
- Fasteners supplied are a waste of time, use original screws.

The fit of both screens is excellent. The MRA is darker, won't be as good for the GoPro but plenty light enough to see through. Provided the MRA offers decent protection on the move then it's the clear winner for me. The DP screen is just too flimsy.

Hey Guys,

Anyone got a photo of a Zero Gravity Corsa for me to view on there bike installed?

I have been using ZG for years they make awesome stuff and always in stock. I just mounted a SR series on my R it's same shape and height as the OEM windscreen.

Used a Double Bubble on my 848 EVO, but now i got 959 Pani and want to see the Corsa on customers bike before i buy. - Never had any issues with Zero Gravity before and had the 848 EVO for 5 years

Another picture if anyone got MRA pics installed on any Panigale still tossing up on ZG or MRA
