The motor had salt in it. I cant quarantee it would run properly - so wont even try selling it

I agree with Fireman 1251, part it out, "AS IS" "with no gurantees or implied otherwise" sell it all then go buy a nice '13 model

If the buyer is willing to buy the engine as is and understands that it was submerged in salt water (which I hope he does by reading this guys thread) then there should be no concerns about selling it. It might be a risk the buyer is willing to take to experiement with an 1199 engine.
