Round the World on an 1199
A good friend of mine runs a fabrication and tuning shop and he's considering doing some development for the 1199 (he has a 1098S). Being that he'll have access to a Panigale soon (mine) I was wondering what most of you are looking to upgrade.

Personally my first upgrades will probably be:

Protection (esp. for the shock)
Adj. levers
Rearsets (depending on how the stock ones are)
Exhaust

Aww, c'mon guys--a hack saw, a strip of aluminum and a couple of rivets is all you need to eliminate a fender and mount a plate!

I was thinking that a kickstand or a bolt on kickstand 'arm' might be something that wouldn't be a bad idea.

Totally agree on the kick stand thing.

- nice tail tidy

- block off plates and classy bar end mirrors

- and waiting for Luimoto aftermarket seat design !!

In all seriousness, my list of parts is pretty much standard fare.

Crash protection/Radiator guard
Full exhaust system
Rearsets that dont cost $1000 (cant imagine tracking this thing if theres no good racing rearsets)
Decent FE (I'll probably make my own out of some aluminum sheet)
Steel/kevlar braided brake lines.
Shorty levers
Double Bubble Screen
Race Air Filter
520 Chain conversion
Some slightly narrower clip-ons
Non-magnesium engine covers with replaceable skid pads like current woodcraft offerings.
etc. etc.

Some easy to machine parts would be:
Mirror block offs
Bar-ends
Non-folding Pegs (hate folders with a passion)
Levers

And something I think someone should come up with is a guard/shroud that will cover/protect the wiring going into the rear shock. Something that also smooths the profile down so your leg doesnt rub on the sharp edge of those valve bodies.
