Enjoy that 66 degrees. It's ice and snow and only 20 something degrees in north Texas!

Got my 7500-mile service today. And parts of the Parkway are being opened!

The oldest sections are getting some work in the next few weeks. Look Rock to the dragon will be closed from the 17th. Dragon peeps will have to drop down through Happy Valley

Great timing today as the ranger was pulling off the new section as I drove by and I took the second entrance ramp.

A whole lotta 4th and some single finger braking. good times

Nice. It is still a little to crispy to get over the mountain.

NPS has tar stripped the 6 miles of foothills west getting ready to top coat.

Waiting for her to arrive so I can introduce her to t.w.o., the gaps and the dragon

The rain is coming so the clouds are stacking up!

I seem to luck out with the park rangers. So far, I’m meeting them in tight corners and I’m not going terribly fast as we pass each other. However, I’m pretty sure that I’ve got the only red Ducati in the area so it’s only a matter of time before we meet up and chat. But if that happens, I’ll tell them my name is Thomas M. Ryan! :)

The Tank Grips, the bottom section on the black plastic where did you get from and what model did you choose from their list? - Cheers Frank

Those are Techspecs.

Nice. 209 has some gravel on the inside rights and a few corners that tighten up. Max Patch, off 209, is a few miles of gravel but the view is 360 like Mount Mitchel. Absolutely stunning.

There is a coffee place in Little Hurricane past Hot Springs on 25/70 but 107 through Cherokee National Forest has 5 miles or so of flat out it the timing is right. A lot of dudes are out slamming a 6 pack while their wives are at church on Sundays.

the Skyway runs a close second to Clingmans Dome rd but those corner pull offs are everywhere. At the 4-way stop with Avey Branch and Joyce Kilmer, there is a spur road that goes to an overlook above Santeetla.

Lynn's restaurant in Robbinsville is up near the court house. Sysco but decent. From Lynn's, there is a road that runs the back side of the lake to the Skyway thats pretty tight and squirrely.
