thanks. First service appointment is tomorrow and I wanted to add a few more miles.

It was nice while the park was 'closed' to get some solitude out on the trails.

Shaconage...the 'place of blue smoke' as the Cherokee call it.

ran it up to 7k a few times. a few clicks short of a 1000 miles.

So far I've done only a few bursts. Get that brake fluid fully changed and first service. Then I'll open up.

if you can, see if the dealer has updated their diagnostics to include the V2. I was the first having the first service and the tech said it took a while to download/update. I am not sure if it was his software or mine.

brake fluid is hydroscopic so it might be worthwhile to throw the tech a twenty spot to watch and learn. a.t.e. used to make blue fluid so you could visually see the color change but the guberment doesnt allow that anymore. there are only two rules...no bubbles and treat the fluid like it's muratic acid. installing new masters, slaves or capliers requires tapping on things to combine the smaller bubbles but flushing isnt hard.

I recieved a hand written thank you card in the mail today from the dealer. nice.

I'll check they said they do an update at first service. I'm willing to bet it is limited before service.

I'll also see if I can watch them do the brakes. Im gonna get my own fluid and we will see.

I've never worked with anything brake, suspension related on bikes. Everything else no prob

they have solid garage doors at the selling dealer. dude might have been playing candy crush for three hours.

suspension adjustments can go wrong quick. one setting at a time then a few 100 miles to note changes. the surface on blue ridge requires a lot of time with your weight on the pegs. i am turning the screws/tuning to that road up to the virginia line as i am not allowed to drive in that state.

Ya 100 buck labor is kind of insane. But gotta spend money to learn i suppose to hopefully they allow me to shadow for the brakes.

I plan to have a professional go over the suspension setup for street with my weight. Not going to risk it.
I backed out stiffness on the r1 it was track stiffness factory so it made world of difference

east tn right on the border of the smoky mountains. they dropped 64 million repairing the roads with the recovery funds. it's sooo hard to go the speed limit, or ten over for that matter.

I am a little over 1150 miles. getting through town without getting boned by a tourist is daunting. a ranger was following me for about 9 miles and he witnessed the random stupidity. I grew up here so its expected and anticipated. I even had a road bike drop my lane.

I love the scenery. Looks like a nice place.

I hear ya its hard to do much here we don't have sweeping roads mainly desert and if i go out of my way plains with mountains. Only people who hates sports bikes are Nhp.

The Ducati is a nice conversation piece im noticing every fillup or light I get questions about it.
