The speed limit in the park is 25, 30 and 35. I did little river this morning. a rock wall on one side and twenty feet down to the river on the other.
Most of the tourist have never seen a corner in their life and freak out!
I have a rule about avoiding roads with mailboxes but you do have to worry about varmints. I prefer to roll at night which is requiring better lighting.
I mocked up some fog lights yesterday with the housing turned 90 degrees. it will be a decent pattern as the lean angle increases. (the Hella kit came with Romanian lights and Chinese hardware. my ebay lesson for the year. straight to the trash can less the housings.) I am gutting a door wiring harness from the old S-class to run power today. I already ran two 1.0 mm wires off the hazard switch around and into the front fairing. need a few optimate leads so everything can be unplugged for removal. ...and also some wide Velcro strips to run the wires down the fork.
When I was working in Yosemite, our favorite trip was over Tioga road past Tuolumne Meadows towards Mono. Snow permitting. The winter was nice when all the people where gone. The internet has ruined most of the cool secluded spots here so I just go off trail these days with the snakes, bears, deer and boars. there are a few elk but they stay close to the roads for the grass. boars are nocturnal so no twilight pix where they roam.
