Congrats! Just make sure the latest "upmap" (software) is loaded, and have fun!!!

Yeah the bike is actually a demo with about 600 miles so im all set and don't have to much longer till the brake in is over and the 600 mile service is paid for. Im moving up from a 848 so im kinda nervous considering i havnt had the chance to ride to many bigger bikes. But im def excited and might leave her in wet mode more a few days!

I'm in the same boat but you'll have her before me. Let me know what you think and how you're adapting to the upgrade.

Yeah i will the only problem is the weather isnt looking good the week im getting the bike but ill try and get as much winter riding in as possible. From the people i spoke with my biggest concern is the difference in the tires. i never had track tires on any of my bikes so im going to be extra careful warming them up especially at this time of the year.

Yeah josh hooked me up! Yeah me and my brother have bought 4 bikes there so far they always are very nice and give u the best deal they can.

btw you should try and get it before the deal ends if your getting a 2012 . i think its ducati makes your first 3 months payments and a 4.99int rate for 60months

yeah he gave otd prices on 4 different pani's and better time frame on when he would have a white one in. dealers in my area and some in va just kept telling me come back next week and check then they wouldnt give a me a price till the bike was in. The was one cool dealership speed cycles (dont know how i missed them 20 min away ) but josh had already put a good effort in on the deal so i ended up driving 3 hr to put down money and order parts. I would go back if a wanted another bike hell when i was leaving he even save me alot on insurance all joking aside. now kinda pissed at how much i have been paying for the past 11-12 years :(

Yeah im assuming he put you down under rider insurance too. I would never be able to afford my bike unless i had rider because any other insurance company loves to rape you when you have a bike over 1000cc

yeah it was half as much as other quotes and 1/4 of what i was paying on GSX-R K7.

Yeah im only 20 (on my third ducati) im lucky enough i have a sick summer job and can make payments while im at school but my its in my Dads name he's 56(i cosigned on all my bikes) (no accidents no tickets) and it gives me full coverage. my insurance is only about 300 a year! its pretty amazing im just happy im lucky enough to able to have such a nice bike, cant wait to kick my moms jetta out of the garage to make room for the pani!

Just make sure the tech goes over everything with u about the bike. Especially when turning it on or off due to it being a wet clutch now on how everything is thrown up in the sump when turning on or off. Just what I was told by ours. Ooh yeah, congrat's bro. U will njoy the ride

yeah thanks man i'm sure i will enjoy it. Yeah ill keep that in mind when i pick it up. The tech already reminded me about the tires and how slick they are when they are cold. Lets hope the heat from the exhaust that everyone talks about will keep the big rear tire nice and warm.

enjoy it Colin! the base is THE bike because it will leave you w/ some $$$ for the endless amount of shit you'll want to do it.

don't let it's power and gadgetry wig you. just respect it and get use to it and you'll find what you know from your 848 will come right over for you... just some friendly advice.

spend some time scoping around here to educate yourself as to what others have experienced thus far. it'll help ya.

congrats again, you'll be happy.

Thanks ill take your a dive for sure! ever since i put my money down i have been roaming through these forums for hours! im just excited to get the damn bike and ride it. Im making a trip to Virginia this weekend for baseball but as soon as i get home im riding up to the dealer and picking her up. might even skip class that afternoon just to ride.

good for you man. the stoke of picking this thing up will be one you won't forget anytime soon.

Ooh yeah Colin, if the blinkers start to act up just take it back and they will fix them. it's a prob they are fixin g when the bike gets to 190+ they either stop working all together or stay on and you can't trun them off unless u turn the bike off and then they may not come back on. Gotta get mine fixed and I have 1450 miles on mine. Just in case u start having problems with it. It's a hr of work at no cost to u, just ur time is it.
