I also see you installed the aero pieces on the front nose fairing. Not going to lie, after seeing this setup, I'm considering doing the same thing (tint with the aero). Nice work!

i am very patient when it comes to modifying my toys, especially high end ducati!! i am also curious to wait and see what comes out next year. i dont get the full months of riding, like some you, we're already half way through july i have untill early october - mid october so my season almost done.

rm4two any chance i could get a glimpse of your tail section, I like what you did and curious to see where you mounted your plate frame very clean, and nice job!!

Gunny, have you thought about the Puig screen instead of ducati it might have that darker tint you were looking for, but a loss to a good fit?

Yes / No

Since it took forever to change the screen, its doing a better job than the stock one, and it's just a little too light - i will prob just stick with this one man. I appreciate your advice and want to see Puig screens on bike shots!

TO Gunny:
I would like to know what the Puig looks maybe kingfixer will put some on for us. This is what i know, basically everything i said to the dealer about this bike is true: recall, buying one in july and not april, there was 5 outside yesterday, and a demo 1199 bike. Patience is always worth the money in the long run! Even though i like the looks of all of yours i want to see what i could buy next year.

:) I actually did two DIY tidy tails. The first one (the one on the bike now) is just some sheet metal cut the size mounted to the passenger rearset mounting location. I haven't had any clearance issue thus far. The second one I did is this one "http://ducati1199.com/ducati-1199/1044-home-made-tail-tidy.html". I use this one for two-up riding but that hasn't happened yet so it's only ever been on the bike once ;)

Can anyone who has fitted the Puig Screen confirm if you can turn the mirrors in or not. Please upload any pics of the screen fitted.

Please upload pics as I am waiting to order but would like to see some pics with it fitted to a bike, rather than a loose fairing.

Not sure on the Puig screen, but I have the taller Ducati Performance one on mine (so you can get under it on track) and the mirrors graze the screen when you fold them in now, leaving marks on the screen where they contact.

They do still fold, but leave a mark. Not the best thought through design that. Muppets.

I was hoping that Puig or Zero Gravity would put some small cut outs in their screen to allow for the folding mirrors.
Track day booked in two weeks, want a higher screen fitted by then, but want to see some installed pics first !!!

Painting the steering damper and the front side of the triple clamp eliminate 90% of the glare against the TFT. And it's a lot easier than the shield replacement!
