Good morning,
I wanted to know if anyone here has found anything significant on the tires that just came out from Pirelli 5 or so weeks ago, the Supercorsa TD tire.
I just got a brand new leftover 15R and will be running the OEM tires for track days, I just got a second rear to work through as the front will last through two sets in my case. Does anyone know if the TD tire is supposed to outperform the SP V2? The V2 is made from two different materials and the TD is supposed to be made from one and is specifically supposed to offer more grip for track riders like myself.
Also, offered through my track-side dealer is the Supercorsa V1. I do have tire warmers, so this is also a solution for me. Would the V1 offer more all out grip than the TD? Has technology in tires come to the point where tires like the TD or the Q4 offer better grip and handling characteristics than the V!?
The V! can be had at a cheaper price than the TD, so I was wondering if using an older technology on a race compound would be better for all out grip. Tire life is second to me in grip in any scenario.
Your input is valued, thanks!
