Did you get the 1199 throttle bodies and harness yet?

The engine came with throttle bodies and injectors as well as the harness.

BUT, I also just replaced all of that with known good throttle bodies, injectors and harness from a ‘14 1199........ :-(

"It's your fuel map. It has some nasty holes in it!"

But seriously, TPS looks good, the drive by wire throttle only opens by about 20-25% when the engine is off or at low rpm. But WHO T.F. made that fuel map???? That is ABSOLUTE ...., and i'd put all my money om that being the culprit. Get it tuned by someone who knows what they're doing and you're fine.

@yturan Any chance you could review these screen shots?

I just did and send an email here is the copy

I did read the entire post and looked ant your screen shots and I don't see anything in the maps to cause any trouble like yours. However if you have ECU flash, you should run "ZERO" ignition maps. You can even go to ZERO fuel maps for now as well. But if the problem is that severe , I would start eliminating things, remove Rapid Bike, since it is easier than sending your ECU out ans see how it is going to run. What is this bike ? all OEM 1199 ?

Thanks mate. I'm receiving a new tune from BrenTuning today hopefully and we'll see where it goes. There have been rave reviews on their tunes, so I'm hoping you're right.

THANK YOU YAMAN!!! Thanks for the quick response and the email. I've responded.

This is a 1199 engine with 2014 1199 Throttle bodies, MWR WSBK filter, and full race Termignoni exhaust. Fan is removed, other than that its a bunch of suspension work and bolt ons.

That's not the base file map that's the adjustments to the base map loaded on the ecu. It's a piggyback system, it does +- adjustments.

So an update.... I went from it running like crap to not running at all.....

I'm trying really hard to not go full metal jacket on this ....... thing and unload a few 30 round mags on it

Oh wait,... we're not allowed to have those in NJ...

Something is whacked with your ECU I would definitely borrow a stock one to try I am sure that thing will run ok.

I was just reading this and something occurred to me. I know you said you swapped fuel tanks etc. but someone else was stumped and found cracked hardline in the fuel system, in the tank......? Not necessarily your problem, but sounds close.

I was the lucky one with the cracked hardline inside the tank. Would definitely check. It is an easy box to tick and you might be able to give me hints on the repair later...

I an aware it's a tune map, but it should still be somewhat smooth. The base map is smooth, and any alteration should just give a smooth modification to the underlying table. Unless something is really wrong...

Hiya.

So I had a similar issue over December. The bike would get to 5k rpm and then surge/die and not go above 5k rpm. A week later as I was trying to take the bike to the dealer to have it looked at it would not drive. Idle was fine, Revving was fine yet as soon as I engaged the clutch the thing would splutter and die.

The issue was the "rear cylinder head map sensor". It had to be replaced. Looking at your description and parts you have already covered it may be the issue.

There is a thread on here already relating to it: http://ducatiforum.com/ducati-1199/23185-map-sensor-problem-sloved-2.html

I hope this helps.

Was this ever solved? What fixed it? Just reading through forums, not just here but notice lots of technical questions and help from other members but never get update on what it actually was. Just curious. Might help the next guy out.
