Hi Micheal..

unbelievable, can't wait until mine arrives.

Did you order your kit at Autograph Webshop in Germany as well? I did and I have to say they are not top noch in answering emails or sending tracking numbers.

As far as I know the shipped the showcase but for the kit I still did not receive any tracking numbers..

Hi, Yes i ordered by Autograph in the very beginning (September/October last year) and was lucky to receive one kit of their first Batch in January.
I personally think their Service is very nice. I always got fast Response to mails. Tracking number not always, right. But this is a very reliable shop. Might be a bit busy when they try to ship the large amount of kits of the ducati, why they did not send you right away a tracking number.

Thanks for all other coments. Will add Pictures to my OneDrive account (link above) when there is any Progress.

Best regards,
Michael

I am working also on mine since 3 weeks.
I intend to do some modifications to the base kit, since i am an Detail Freak, and think there can be done some improvements everywhere.

In General a nice kit for a novice model builder. But to be honest i expected a bit more from pocher. Considering the scale (1/4) i expected they had created the parts like on the real bike (like Joints and mounting Points of main subassemblies - engine to Frame,.....) Additionally a lot of parts are molded in one Piece together instead of doing them as seperate parts. Again for a scale of 1:12 - fine; but in this scale i expected more from pocher. Also they only provide "Phillips screw typs" in the kit for all the parts instead of allen-head nuts and bolts like on the real bike. And especially on the engine some bolts are molded to the parts (looking like the real nut while the bolt next to it should be replicated with the phillips head screw :-(
But nothing that can not be fixed :)

I made a lot from etch parts and made a lot new parts on lathe and mill

Here is a link to my OneDrive Folder for a building Progress with the modifications so far.

And for the tool kit that is mentioned above i also like to know what that should be.
For the kit you only Need a small phillips screw Driver and a Special tool to adjust the chain Tension on the rear wheel hub. AND THAT IS ALREADY INCLUDED IN THE KIT!! :)
Best regards,
Michael

Mother of god! That is amazing! How much would you estimate a kit like this would cost all in?

Beautiful work, Michael. I am building my first kit box-stock except for some painting, but will add some extra details to the second one.

  1. Will you be sharing your work with Uli at Autograph for a future transkit?
  2. Do you mind if I link fellow model builders to your OneDrive photos, or should I send them to this forum instead?
  3. Autograph has always been efficient to deal with on my end. I can empathize with being a one man shop when things get busy and falling behind on emails, etc.

Wow, that's some kit!
I was all set for buying this but now not sure as it looks like a lot of time needed to build it! Wonder if a built up bike available to buy?

Should take less than 40 hours to build, unless you are Michael and can't stop making your own bits.

Hi Chillo

As Brady (Scaleautoworks) already said, the kit builds up very easy. Actually there is not even the need to paint the parts, as most of them are already pre-painted; ncluding some plastic (sprue) parts. And the parts not pre painted are most often hidden that it is not a must and still get a nice bike model when finished.
So do not see my "WIP" as the base. The 40 hours could be right to build the kit out of box.

Best regards,
Michael

Hi Brady

Thanks for your words.

About your questions:

1) I have not thought about it to be honest.
I have all the plans for the new turned and milled parts, as well for all the etched parts on Hand (done with CorelDRAW) or some 3d printed parts (designed with AutoDesk Inventor) but for now there is no conversation going on with Uli or anyone else of doing a trans kit.
And i am not interested in one untill i am ready with my bike to see and know if all the new parts fit and work together.

2) Yes, you can link my OneDrive-site to your web-site.

Best regards,
Michael

Great work Simon,

Something for me to do when I retire. I used to love making models when I was young.

I have purchased one of the 1:12 scale kits but have not opened the box. I also have a z900 kit and a 900 SS bevel kit but they are all still in the box. Just no time. Late night Ebay impulse buys.

we made a fender eliminator for the 1:1 bike..

of course we had to make it for the Pocher 1:4 model as well then..

I just opened the box for one of these Tamiya kits. Got it on Amazon. They sent it straight from Japan to Australia.

Now to find the time to build it.

I can confirm that it takes some time :)...but it also gives a lot of satisfaction once you see it. I have sent the pictures to a friend of mine which asked me why I have dismounted the fairing of my Pani (the real one) ehehehehe

Some pics of 1/4 Pocher and others. Thanks to ScaleModelAutos for support. Now for ride on my 1:1 Panigale R w/CMC rotors, etc.
