Gecko,

We used to rip on those vans in Italy & Germany while i was in the Army...The one like yours I recall, transported quite a few loaded weapons racks and was still rocking 75-80mph on the autobahn/autostrada.

We tested it with two bikes (cool thing is that the van is already equipped with shocks for additional 500kg): 140 km/h :)
Can't wait until January!

Shopping for a van myself (in the US). Ideally it would be something that is not a PITA to have as a daily driver. The Mercedes Metris (Vito) looks ideal but they are way too expensive right now as they just came to the US and only new ones are available.

I don't want a pickup truck....what are you racers or track day junkies using? Anyone got a good midsize van recommendation?

That's it . I put one in forward and one in backwards using pit bull stands . Enough room fr two bikes spare wheels tools and everything needed for a race weekend.
I have the LWB van it works really well .
The economy is excellent I can get 1000km out of a tank all loaded

I've been looking and reseraching myself. I'm going with the Sprinter. It has one back roll of seats and also enough room for 2 bikes easily. I like to also use for camping. Only thing is that the cost is around 40-50k. they keep their value really well too.

I will try to ride every day to work but this can still be used for daily.

These days, truck cost that much anyway. I love trucks but I cant do them anymore. Its to high and dangerous to load bikes on the ramp even if you find a nice hill.

I cant do a hauler either. I used to haul my track cars and that was pain having pull something.

I'll post what I am looking at later.

Leaning towards a Sprinter myself, have read a lot of good things about them. Now it's just a hunt for one with reasonable miles and a reasonable price. They DO seem to hold their value well and even used ones are quite expensive.
