Problems with brakes and valve gasket

So I recently attended a track day at PBIR this weekend and a couple of issues came up. First I blew my valve cover gasket a second time. Luckily it happened at the last session of the day. Second at 7K miles I ended up warping and glazing my rotors. Third and finally I realized I really need a steering damper for those hard braking corners and power wheelies.

So my question is has anyone had better luck with different type of gasket brand, make, etc? Also am upgrading the stock rotors 5mm to a 6mm brembo ones hopefully that will last longer than stock. Anyone had any luck with these rotors?

PS for any track day riders avoid PBIR horrible track layout and definitely not safe. Most corners you don't have any run off room and run right into a wall without any safety soft barriers.

Valve cover gasket could be fine.

Had quite some oil spill a few months back - found that the bolts on the valve cover was very very loose. Tightened them without changing anyting - No problems after that.

Upgrading the discs - I use mine quite hard for more than 5000 kms race - still in fine shape. Brake pads . . . . thats is another story ;-)

Good point BowHunter thanks for the tip. Currently the bike is at the dealership so I will let them fix the problem, but if it happens again I will try your advice. As far as the discs go I have no idea what happened I have been doing several trackdays but they just didnt last. I plan on racing mine also next year so I hope these will last. Thanks for your help and good luck on your racing.

This would be my recommendation:
BREMBO HPK Disk Kit [Ducati 5 Bolt 15MM Offset] - 1199 Panigale - 330mm diameter

What pads were you running? I've run EBC HH and though I'm not setting any track records, I'm running mid-pack lap times in A group and still haven't glazed or warped anything.

Pulsing under braking can be caused by warpage, which is far less common than uneven pad-build-up. Being that you also have glazing it could very well be a pad--not a rotor--problem. Steel wool and fine grit sandpaper are the only fix needed if it is indeed pad build-up. Also, warming up and cooling down your brakes can prevent just about any problem with the brakes except fade (parking a bike, for instance, right after a hot session will cause the rotors to cool over all the surface except the caliper area....running through the pits or simply pushing the bike a foot every minute after you park can help. And too-aggressive-of a pad can cause lots of issues (including rotor splash and glazing) if you nail the brakes while they're cold.

Thanks for all the info AntiHero. I'm also using EBC HH pads, they were brand new before this track day. It was only my last session of the day I felt my brakes pulsating. I just hope the new rotors my tech ordered fix it if not I'm going to try the ones you recommend. By the way why do you recommend the 5.5mm rather than the 6mm? My tech said the 6mm helps dissipate heat better since its a thicker rotor and also doesn't get as hot due to its thickness.

Pulsating - ABS ?

Yes I have ABS equipped on my bike but it wasn't it. I was riding the track all day and only towards the end I started to over shoot my turns due to the lack in braking power and that's when I knew I had issues with the brakes. Anyhow dealership confirmed it for me it wasn't the abs but rather the warped rotors.
