Does anyone know what the R actually comes with? The Ducati website isn't all that helpful.
It is true that the R comes with less than previous years but the engine is gonna be a stunner!Spoke directly to a salesman received one already.
All you get is the manual two keys the block off plates and another windscreen.
Kind of regretting my decision a little now

That's what I thought. I had to look at many internet pics and was hoping that I didn't miss anything. I was hoping for the swing arm cover and race seat too.Over the S it has CF heel guards, CF rear fender, CF exhaust heat shield, the tall windscreen, DDA, mirror block off plates, and a "mostly" titanium exhaust. Then there's the engine, it also has the engine.
It has essentially the same engine as the SL... a real screamer!!!

Sounds like it comes with regrets too. Do I smell a part out? lol

From my source, the engine is other worldly. Wait until someone on a 1299 pulls up on one and gets left......
It is my understanding that the 1299 and 1199R make identical HP. The R has internals that spin up a little faster and the exhaust...but the 1299 has 100 more cc's (like they say, there is no replacement for displacement ).
When you consider all of the other variables that go into acceleration (rider size, weight, ability to get into a tuck, RPM's, tires, gearing, available grip, setup/geometry, so on and so forth)...if somebody on a 1299 "gets left" by somebody on an 1199R, that says more about the ability (or lack thereof) of the rider on the 1299, than it does about the capabilities of the 1199R.
