Race bodywork for V2?

Is anyone running race/track bodywork for the V2? I can find lots of bodywork for the 959, but not the V2. I had discussions with Hi-Fibre (Home - Hifibre) and they appear to have a nice V2 kit, but now that I am ready to pull the trigger, I can't get an email response from David at Hi-Fibre. :( I want to use fiberglass bodywork, not pvc that will just shatter like the Ducati unpainted race plastics.

Thoughts?

I believe that you can purchase a Ducati track fairing package from a dealership and/or other companies. Here is an example:

The above-link is just an example. I’d actually check with your local dealer because the price was reasonable when I checked for my 959.

Thanks for the reply, but as I said, I do not want standard PVC plastics that shatter when you crash (which is what those are in your link). I want true fiberglass race plastics that are easy to repair after a crash.

Did you ever get a set of race fairings for your bike? I've only seen the CRC kits available, with some questions on quality. This is proving to be harder than I expected.

I have a verbal order with HiFibre in the UK, but they are crazy busy supplying all the Tri-Options riders on the V2 bikes. I am struggling to get them to invoice me and they said they won't get to my (verbal) order until April (this was a Jan/2022 conversation). It isn't looking good, but I'll look into what HSBK has to offer.

The hsbk ones are your best option but you’ll need to do some work if you’re running an underbelly exhaust

Yeah, I came to that same conclusion today after looking things over. I will have to cut the belly pan to fit the Arrow exhaust. It is too bad HiFibre can't give me the time of day to place an order since their bodywork is a bit cheaper and made to fit the V2 perfectly (with an underbelly exhaust). Oh, well. At least they were honest and said (on a phone call) that their revenue comes from supplying Tri-options race teams and not selling to one-off customers in the USA, lol.

Just a heads up, there is no belly pan that will work with an arrow exhaust. If you plan on racing you will need to get something else.

I'm thinking of running the Termi WSBK "Force" D170 setup, with the two high exit pipes. I'm hoping this will allow me to run a compliant race belly pan.

Thanks for the heads up. Yeah, the HiFibre kit should work since it is designed for the Akra underbody pipe (maybe need a slight adjustment), but I am doing track days only, so no worry about having an approved pan.

Well, after the Tri-Options folks got their fill of race plastics, HiFibre (UK) sold me a set for my V2 (~$1150 including shipping to US and insurance). I did not have time to paint them yet, but I slapped them on for a recent track day. The fit is excellent, although I did not get a belly pan yet (don't need it for track days). HiFibre is making a pan that works with the V2 OEM fan still installed, so I'll get that at some point. Their current pan only works without the fan (I still have my fan).

I trimmed just a bit off the front lower where the radiator plastic causes some issues (HiFibre says some teams trim it or remove the radiator plastic piece). I also cut a bit on the left side to allow for the GBR cover. Everything else fit really well and the plastics are of nice quality. I also added a tank cover by Flamingo Corse Bike in Italy. I removed the front and rear lights (rear light blanking plug). I'll clean them up, paint and sticker them soon.

Fits both

Has anyone fitted the Woodcraft to a V2 and given feedback on how well it worked? I have heard the "fits your model too" for tons of things for the poor V2 stepchild, but most of them don't. Woodcraft's fitment page does not say that will fit a V2 but that doesn't mean much, I guess. Many of the 959 parts don't fit a V2 either but lots of people will tell you they will. I welcome anyone's comments on their first-hand experience with other race bodywork for the V2.

The 1299 kit took a lot of cutting to fit my 959 so much that Woodcraft does offer it as a 959 kit. Not sure if this helps.
