Sounds like Mikhalchik did a 1m45s lap of Jerries on a stock 1.0 liter S1000rr so Pani isn’t impressed.

I think what he’s getting at is that with the new new it laps as fast as an older bike.

That being said a full-fat Perdercini Kwak Soooperbiiiike can only make a 1m43s around Hereth.

For reference, Rea lapped Herrezz at 1m39s as his fastest lap.

IDK, unless they are back to back runs under the same conditions and even then averaged out over a few passes...I wouldn't get hung up on those results.

If he's trying to dry ire to one being 1.0L and the other being 1.1L, then that some lowering strap one front caliper highway pull d-baggary I can't get behind.

Fagan said he thought the Aprilia and BMW would be faster... not sure I care

didn't care when the 2005 K5 was "faster" either

Statham excreted some Fanny batter in that test. He even said it’s the super bike of the moment.

Correct

I was there with Redding in Dec 2019 where he did 1.45s on his practice 2019 V4S. In fact he even posted that lap on Instagram

Kinda expected more from 2022 model

Yes! This is so out of context.

Different rider, conditions, possibly different tires.

Even if none of these variables existed, how much of an improvement did you expect?

As mentioned by Ducati, Pirro improved his lap by 0.5 seconds compared to the ‘21 bike. That’s reasonable.

Stock bike evens out the game.

No one is going to bother to do head to head comparison.

Lol… tests done 2 years apart in different conditions with different riders evens out what game?

A comparison has already been done by Pirro, again in different conditions.

Same conditions actually

Still means nothing.

Discrepancy in lap times between riders in wsbk can be as much as 2 or more seconds throughout a weekend. Furthermore, you can’t compare lap times set by salvadori (a sstk rider with 1 win in his career) to Redding who’s a wsbk title contender.

In fact… this info makes the ‘22 bike even more impressive to me.

Jerez lap times grouped by manufacturer, in 2016 Zarco did a 1.37 (lets not split tenths here) it took 4 years to get to the 1.36's
Lap times are one parameter Motogp is probably the best format as all the bikes are so even relatively speaking. Street bikes getting 2 seconds in a year pfft, it means nothing.

I know how to solve this: someone provide me a stock V4S from each year, send them and me to Herreth with a fresh set of slicks, and I’ll give them a run around. Since I’m a mediocre rider time differences will be more appreciable

Salvadori is not sstk rider, but rides a machine that is somewhat WSBK spec. Proper engine, unrestricted Magneti Mareilli ecu and etc.

Salvadori is only 0.5 slower than Pirro at Mugello, so by any accounts you can't call him slow.

Also, Salvadori has more than 1 win, no idea where you got that from.
