Racer rides the 2022 V4S

These comparisons internet racers do with what pro racers do on a bike is stupid. You can give a pro racer a stock ninja 400 and they will still outrun almost all of you on any liter bike.
Unless you’ve ever ridden on a track with someone that can run pro’ish times you have no idea how fast these riders are. It ain’t the bike, it’s the rider and these guys are gonna be cooking regardless of the bike.

A pro rider only being 5 seconds off on his race bike vs a stock showroom bike isn’t all that surprising because these guys can ride so well and adjust on the fly. That’s why they get paid to do it and the rest of us are out here going broke at the track lol

I’m guessing you think that he’d be only 6-7 seconds off on that ninja 400… but I digress, these internet comparisons are stupid indeed.

There are two things all guy think they are good at, sex and driving.

Good vid and let’s face it, the dominant message from the riders own words “this bike is for amateurs and is dominated by rider aids to assist the rider” also no doubt, the bike is super fast. That’s all great but what does reality look like and how does that play into marketing. Ducati says about 5% of buyers will do track day events so what are you actually buying as the other 95% and ok we can give let’s say 20% of the bikes will see aggressive riding where some of that stuff matters but that leaves 75% of these bikes sold to guys that will never seen 30 degrees of lean angle. Why are these guys buying these bikes?
the other 95% are posers. and the bike is not for amateurs BUT because of so many electronic and rider aides it allows amateurs such as yourself and most on this forum to ride it. Where as without electronics and help you would crash the 1st week

Spot on, Im in the middle of the fast group one level below the race group on track days, I think Im doing ok then I see their lap times and speed- worlds apart, I may as well be a beginner.

If you are shaving seconds or 10's of seconds of lap times then you are simply setting up or your riding skills were rubbish, once you get to pro territory we are talking hundreths of a second difference. 5 seconds? Jorge may as well be riding a scooter if a motogp bike is used for comparison

I agree to a point, when you turn the electrics off (as much as possible) you need to be far more careful, I do it occasionally to feel the rawness of the bike but it requires intense concentration that you could possibly maintain during a 15 track session but not on a 300k road ride. Electronics are fantastic, I want them to improve for the sole reason that I hate highsides and I like my body the way it is!

I run the electronics off at the track. Only one I’ll occasionally turn up a little is wheelie control if I’m being lazy. This bike can easily be driven without the electronics turned up on a track if you’re a decent rider and your bike is setup ok.

Only time I’ve almost high sided was when I tried to get away with an extra session on a tire that needed replacement, in that case almost high sided twice in the same session…
