Anyone here use a radar detector?
If so, lets see your set up and hear what you think of it.
What about laser jammers? Anyone hook one of those up on a Pani?

I got myself a bad ass ticket a few days ago and it's gonna cost me a lot money. So I'm thinking I should do myself a favor and put something together to help me know when to slow.

Thanks,
Z

After numerous tickets I found a solution ....

Don't stop !

I've done that before but this time there was no way I could get away with it. So I stopped instead of going to jail.

I would agree quack, but just remember, the Motorola is faster than the Ducati...

If I have to stop and the odds are against me then I stop this isn't torque and I'm no stuntman however after seeing how grimey they are if I can flee I do so ... No one ever pursued I was doing 95 and I saw highway patrol lights come on I was still before him basically he was on the side then I just downshifted and flew by I saw in my rear view mirror the lights go off...

Nice :D

I have swapped to only riding small displacement bikes on public roads.

Bikes, especially sportbikes have a very low signal on radar and almost impossible with laser. No detector made is going to give you enough warning under most circumstances. Best bet is to change your riding style or bike.

I recommend Aprilia RS125. You can hold it open for hours. I rode it 350 miles in the TN/NC/GA mountains and it was wide open 85%+ and it didn't blow up. Top speed on flat ground 98 MPH.

I had a $3500 incident last year on the 1199. Expensive lesson to learn.

I only ride old bikes on the road these days . I get more pleasure from going slower on the old bike .
I actually don't think I will have another sport bike for the street .

This is where my Escort 9500IX is mounted. It is held down by industrial strength Velcro and powered through the battery tender connector.
Saved me from getting expensive tickets at least a couple of dozen times.
Laser still gets you though

The hell did you do worth $3500

Two felony counts of wanton endangerment, excessive speed, flowing too closely, and probably something else. Lawyer fees, impound retrieval, fines, court costs, and contribution to the commonwealth of KY (kid you not) = $3500.
