Thanks - I was having a look around the software and didn’t send or save any map and the TPS calibrate I did t click apply and just disconnected the usb so hopefully nothing has changed!
Since we are selling a good amount of the Racing and Evo modules, I figured, people are going to try to explore the software and have some questions that we can discuss here and of course you can always e-mail me!
[email protected]
1- If your not sure about what to do or you have changed something in software and not sure what it is, just exit out and click on do not save, don't worry you won't loose anything in modules.
2- Do not alter or play or better yet, experiment with Ignition cells
3- I am posting this info, not for you to become a tuner but to become familiar with the software.
4- Your module is shipped to you with a proper map , there is no need to switch or experiment with different maps. If you do please be aware that every ignition map is different and developed AFTER the fuel injection base mapping is completed, again, do not change the ignition mapping at all!!!!
The file location for 1199 is simple to find, when you single click on any files , you will see the corresponding info on the right side of same window.
Now the maps will be for:
*Completely stock bike:
*Completely stock bike with flashed ECU, flashed means in Rb software, NOT rexxer or anything else , it simply means a new or different map for the latest Ducati ECU update.
This one is your Ignition map. Every RB map has a different Igniton mapping done.
Above 2 are your fueling maps, don't focus on that too much and please change the way you view fuel injection maps when you have a RapidBike system, since this is only a starting base map to get you closer to your target, the auto adaptivity is constantly updating it (I should probably say improving) so , more on Auto Adaptivity later.
We are still on the maps screen:
*The top where it says zero is your RPM display, when everything is properly running your RPM should display
*Below that is TPS and the white bar just below the numbers will turn blue if your RB is properly reading your TPS, this has never been an issue with 1199 harness but some other models like the Diavel, it is a bit tricky to get to the proper wire.
*Just the right of TPS, max rpm and max tps is displayed, this is for the dyno sessions, make sure that max rpm and max tps matches with your gauge on the bike , again this will never be an issue with 1199
*Below that, in the separate box, you will also see your TPS voltage for diagnostic purposes.
*The rest is primary, secondary injectors, this is interesting to see on the dyno how much of which set of injectors are being used.
*GET MAP, SEND MAP and SAVE IN FLASH buttons are :
"Get Map" Retrieving the map.
"Send Map" Sends your changes to the module but not permanantly.
"Save in Flash" : You must click on this button before disconnecting the USB cable otherwise all changes are gone, not saved in the module
