"American's" seem to be more pragmatic :)
Impact gun's work absolutely perfect! It's just that I've been teached "never use this part of devils toolbox, it will destroy everything.

... Ha! - It is simply the best way to do it :)

- realistically.....you shouldn't attack it....or use the impact gun foolishly

....and you need a good air compressor at home :(

Ummmm.....no.

More than a few companies make electric impact. I use a big DeWalt electric. Originally had it for track side where a good air compressor is problematic and I already had a generator for tire warmers and needed an impact wrench for doing trackside clutch pack swaps

The one I have is rated to about 250 ft lbs (iirc) and taking rear nut off the Pani (or any thing else) is a low effort easy task.

...the wonders of technology ! :)

...well...YES...absolutely....not very practical for apartment style living in Switzerland :)

-- by the way, did you determine if the blinker kit would fit the wider fairing ?

uuhhh, I am really very sorry I forgot to answer you (a lot of work and emails in the last weeks)! Dealer was at EICMA and said heat sinks are the same on the 1299. About the "wideness": 1299 is not wider than the SL. If you are not happy with the mounting bracket, PLEASE let me know. I'm very happy to provide you with distant bolts I would turn some for you, no problem at all! Just let me know the length.

Edit: for free of course!

:) :) :) - distant bolts: 10g. max delivery weight 500g (swiss international post). Soooooo 490g swiss chocolate. My way to gain world domination!

Found a 70mm socket and a 3 ' pry bar. Took care of it. Did order my new socket from motomg.

WILSON is right not as tight as Ducti say

Very long breaker bar is the key! Make sure you put coppaslip or grease to antiseize when put nut back on. Say a prayer to ye God before you commence. My mechanics called me through to the workshop when fitting tyre to Multistrada after breaking 2 torque wrenches!!!! This by the way was my lovely local Yamaha dealers who teased me no end!!!!
