I just bought a 2014 1199 Panigale S and I'm stoked to finally have it. I happen to be almost 7 feet tall and I need to get a set of adjustables so I can improve my position ever so slightly. I'd like to go with a black set to stay with the flat black theme on the bike. Money isn't an option if it's something really cool/functional so please let me know what your first choice would be.

Thanks in advance.

Cory

Thanks. I was looking at the Rizoma, and a couple others. I'll check those out as well. Really comes down to which riding position is best for my big ass.

Thanks again

Cory

If you are going GP shift, Rizoma will work with quickshifter but are not very adjustable => just 2 up/down and 2 forward/back positions. Reasonably priced as well.

Can anyone else confirm rearsets that ill work with GP quickshifter?

Lightech R look real fancy if you don't need GP shifting. Pricey
DP reasets = Even more pricey.

I was going to suggest what I used, but then I saw your "money isn't an option" (I assume it is "isn't an object") so I'd better not :D

I have woodcraft. Great price. ....... PITA to change peg position on. I would love to find something not stratospherically priced, that was easier to adjust.

In woodcraft's defense, the price is good and they crash well.

Avoid Gilles. Terrible design. The first set I had seized up on me, ruined a track day and caused all kinds of issues that come from not being able to shift. The new / redesigned parts are better, but it's still sloppy.

Ducabike rearsets have been a little better, but it's still a .... design that won't last. Even the $100 rearsets on eBay are better. Neither Ducabike nor Gilles seemed to have test fit and rode their rearsets, as both had problems with bolts and nuts contacting the swingarm.

My next rearsets will be DP. I've always thought you get stuck paying a premium for the name, but in this case I've spent more than I would have if I'd just bought Ducati Performance parts and still don't have anything close to as high a quality product.

Never used Lightech's rearsets, but the amount of play in their brake/clutch levers isn't exactly confidence inspiring. If they can't get a brake and clutch lever to work as good as the stock ones I can't say I trust 'em to design rearsets.

What adjustability range are you looking for? Something that will allow you to move the pegs up/down/fore/aft? All rearsets would allow up and back, but I don't think all will allow down and forward. At 6'11" I'm guessing you might be looking for more legroom.

Good Dog! Who knew the NBA was nuts for Panigales?!? Which of you is Patrick Ewing and which is Shaquille O'Neal?

.....and I thought I was big for a Pani! Good luck getting comfortable, and hope to see you "out there"!

For what it's worth, I'd stay away from Voodoo rear sets, too. Poor quality IMO. Stick with DP and you probably won't go wrong.

I have these. Work great with the quick shifter, GP shift, and I have not broken them in the 3000 miles they have been on the bike. I never change the position so that has not been an issue.

I was just thinking he is going to be able to get knee down while it's on paddock stands. That's going to be a tight fit no matter what the rearsets.

Might want to look into any of the racing seats that are thicker/taller than the stock one. That might bring some welcome relief as well. If anything, getting a custom made one is pretty cheap in comparison to most mods.

I'm just glad to see 1199 riders that are taller than me!

Race seat is going to make more of a difference than the pegs. I like my pegs up high and tight. Less wrist pain. IE: If I take the balls of my feet off the pegs and stretch out, leaving my foot arches on the pegs, my wrists have more weight on them.

Sadly, even though it's easy to reach low and far bars on 998's and such cause we're tall, my shoulders are way heavier than a normal rider to. (tall viking build, not tall Rossi build) So my wrists still hurt on slow roads.

LOL yes, Money isn't an object. I only say that because I'd hate to cheese out on parts for bike I paid 24K for. Plus, I'm almost 7 feet tall so fit and comfort are always things I have to pay for. Especially in the world of really fast motorcycles. I'm usually the largest guy on these things so if anyone knows of any other parts that might make my life easier, I'd really appreciate the info.

Thanks for the input tho. Helps to know that the rizoma's don't adjust much. I need as much as possible. Probably doing a wind screen change as well.

My stock 1199 windscreen really doesn't blast me with wind at all. I think the double bubble would just be more wrist pain.

All that aero work. Good for topspeed, bad if you wished some of that wind would take the load off your wrists (like on my DRZ, the wrist stretcher)
