remove tank sticker?

just be very gentle it comes off pretty easily. It's easiest when the bikes warm, so park it in the sun for a bit. Any glue residue you can either remove with wax or a bit of wd40

Chris

Anyone do this without damaging the supposedly soft paint?
thanks

I carefully used my finger nail  But knew I was going to cover the area with Tankslapper - You could try goof off or one of those sticker remover products that are safe for paint but I would test somewhere first. This is the hardest sticker I ever had to remove - its brittle and sticks well

I used goo gone and I would recommend riding it first or letting it sit in the sun to help it come up easier. I also agree with tstephenson it is brittle and sticks well.

Pulled mine off before putting on the tankslapper 3M film. Used some of the diluted alcohol solution on a clean rag to take off the residue.

I used the edge of my thumbnail. The biggest piece I got off I think was the diameter of a pin head! Took over 1 hour, but got it off without damaging the tank. Used goo gone and used some new paint products that are awesome.

If you a perfectionist checkout this stuff.

Blackfire Wet Diamond, All Finish Paint Protection

Otherwise Meguairs is also good. I have used that for years, but no comparison to Black Fire products.

i asked my s/o to bring over her blow dryer tomorrow, will that help? i had zero luck peeling it and today it is a little unsightly so i'm anxious to completely remove it soon.

Easiest way I find to remove leftover glue from tape/stickers is to use the same tape/sticker. Just keep dabbing the removed tape on the glue. The sticky side just pulls the glue right off. Was a track day tip I learned years ago.

HELLLLOOO !
you must be talking about a warning sticker or ?
not the Ducatione on the side of tank
i dont have any stickers to remove-
1- my dealer removed ? i dont think so
2- maybee we didnt get the sticker in OZ

my vision had a big ugly sticker woosh - off with that crap

What sticker  lol
i looked at my bike and i have no sticker you talk of
does it tell you where to put "benzinea" in :)

The US spec bikes have a 1" x 3" clear sticker with gold writing that warns the owner not to fill the fuel tank up too far. This is the same warning that is shown in the owners manual (re: 1199 Panigale, 1199 Panigale ABS) on page 21, figure 6 exhibit 4.

This is due to the stupid charcoal consiter we get on our bikes. It's one of the first things I remove - including the sticker

If you fill the tank past a certain level and do not have the canister then you will simply wind up with a puddle of gas under your bike or, if you are riding, getting gasoline blown all over the bottom of your bike and on the hot exhaust. If you remove the cannister it is important to route the tank vent line to a safe location away from heat.

I'm late on this thread, but if you simply heat it up a little with a hair dryer, and use your thumb or finger nail to pull an edge up it will come right off.
Any residue if any can be removed by rubbing with your finger or windex/alcohol.
