remove tank sticker?

As already stated, just having bike sit outside in sun is ample enough heat to lift it off with a fingernail and hopefully peel off all at once. I just used a credit card, which is maxed out on Ducati stuff, to gently scrape off the remainder of plastic and glue. I dont trust putting chemicals such as WD40 or brake cleaner on my paint.

funny thing, try mayonaise, just apply a nice coat over the sticker and let it sit for a 5-10 minutes and it'll pull right up. something about the oils in mayo i think, dunno but it works.

Wtf?

Yuo are joking right? WTH would cause you to even try that in first place man? OH!!! Thats right, you are from Oklahoma where everyone carried a tube of mayo with them 24/7 right? LOL

Dude I sure do miss my home in Owasso!! :D

I used turtle wax sticker remover and a little acetone. It took about 30 minutes but the tank came out fine. These are some sore of super stickers because I used a heat gun as well and they didnt come off the same way other stickers have on other bikes.....its a super Ducati sticker!

dead serious dude. something my dad taught me to get stickers off stuff. try it if you have one you need removing around the house. it works slicker than snot!

If it's the oil in the mayo then why not just apply regular old vegetable oil. At least it won't stink as it sits and gets warm.

But perhaps it is something in the eggwhite, which is used in mayo as well. I guess it could be one or the other. So to be sure just apply some oil to the tank then crack an egg over the tank, let it sit in the sun for a few minutes. For the adventurous folks you can lay on some bacon strips then while you remove the sticker you can have breakfast at the same time.

I removed my tank and swing arm stickers no prob & no mess. They were barely even stuck on.

Hi, if the sticker is made out of vinyl material then it will surely be removed easily without damaging painted surface... On the other hand if the sticker is made out of paper material then it will leave residue behind on the surface..

Wow, mine came off first try and within about 10 seconds. I had just ridden the bike and it was in a hot garage.

Pulled off no prob

I pulled mine off a few days after purchasing my bike and had no issues. Wiped the tank and it was gone.

I went on a ride got it warm..
Then used pledge and lifted an edge with my fingernail (thumb or index works good) then shot more pledge under the sticker as I went,,

I was going to use olive oil, but I really wanted to try mayo...
