The first criticism I have heard about these is that they are the same as the $150 rearsets from ebay. Although the design looks the same, various improvements have been made to these including improved bearings and no need for modification to the brake sensor. The vendor also mentioned the ebay sets may use a lower grade aluminum than they specify. The included folding footpegs are also different as well as the nice Panigale logo and slightly different heel guard design.
The sets came well packaged and without any missing components. In fact it came with extra bolts which was a nice touch.
I ordered the titanium set. The anodizing on the parts was alright although it was slightly messed up on the back of one set (i.e. splotchy). It wasn't visible though so it didn't bother me.
One note is if I could go back in time I would probably order the plain aluminium sets. I had to keep messing around with then because I'm not the most mechanically minded and the anodizinging finish was nicked and dinged in spots as a result. Someone more careful or mechanical could probably pull it off without dings but just a note.
Installation was not too bad even for a wrenching novice like me. All of the threading and holes were drilled properly. Everything fit fine. The set did not come with instructions. The website used to have a pictorial installation guide but it appears it has been removed at this time. Perhaps it will be added again at a later date.
The brake side has a bunch of parts but was relatively easy. I had problems with the shifter side because Ducati used red locktite on everything. If you want gp shifting just attach the assembly to the lower threaded hole on the back of the pivot. You need to install an included spacer between the ball joint bolt and the back of the rearset pivot.
One thing to check is that you use the same hole in the subframes on both sides. Mine came set to different heights. The bolts are only lightly in and obviously you are supposed to retighten and locktite everything anyways.
It took me a bit to get the shifter to the right height (Ducati makes changing this difficult, not the sets) but I'm very pleased with the final product. It is highly adjustable, you can use GP pattern or standard without a separate quick shiftee, and seems well made and thought out.
I'll update this as I get some mileage on them.
