Whats wrong with fair weather riders??? I am definitely one of those below 50 and I'm not riding....
Thats why you live in Texas where mostly hot as hell and little bit chilly during winter.
I love the sun, Track days Riding the hill country twisties with my friends Surfing, water skiing, Golf and fishing etc. and anything else that gets me outdoors.

I have 4K plus miles on the bike now and have ridden exactly once when the temps have been below 60.
I love SW Florida!
That said....the power the bike makes at 60F versus 85F is pretty noticeable. I might have to try commuting on one of those freezing 40 degree days this winter.

I ride as long as their is no ice or snow on the roadways.. The other day it was -5.. Traction was good with the M7RR now if I still have the SC's on I probably wouldnt have taken the bike out. But its still fun and at least on the Pani my ... and thighs stay warm, when your hands get cold put them under your seat for a few seconds and nice and toasty again..
