I think I saw a document with the V4 recommended refresh intervals if raced. Full engine rebuild every 1500 miles I think it recommended. Guess you found the engine's limit!

I gave the motor to the dealership, waiting to see if they can help.
I only removed the head to see the spaghetti.
I think a part of it is also is that these part are maybe not made to withstand the high horsepower engines. 200+ hp is something new.

How do you over rev a bike with a limiter, on the downshift?

Most over-rev on upshifts into during breaking not realizing that there is no limiter on that type of shifting.

Very sad to see this. I have 2800 miles on my 2018 V4S. I see at least one bent valve guide in the photos. Did you do any internal engines mods to her that are worth mentioning? I primarily track my bike too.5k miles in street, 3k race track

Many, many variables in this situation. Is anyone “racing” one of these things that isn’t following a “refresh” protocol? Not sure how many privateers are out there on the V4 running a full schedule. Then again, the term “racing” has many variables on its own. Are there thousands of miles on that engine of a full tilt SBK effort assault or are they 70-80% efforts that like some have pointed out maybe shouldn’t be an issue from a reliably perspective. Could be a materials issue in a batch of parts. Just a lot to look at.
